Name two better frontcourt players then Jontay Porter and Jeremiah Tilmon on the same team, both of which were freshman last year. Both will be playing at the next level easily.

Tilmon has a long way to go to be drafted, and it won't matter how good Missouri's frontcourt is if their backcourt is the flaming pile of shite that it looks like it will be.

I think it's respect for Anderson. Like we've said, he's been very good at getting mediocre results out of bad rosters in the past.

But Arkansas' roster is bad this year. I definitely expect lower than 10th.

Seems pretty reasonable.

State is fourth and only has Q on second team; Florida is fifth and only has Hudson on second team. Teams whose strength is balance aren't well-represented on All-xxx teams, nothing new.

Hall is worthy of a spot on the second team but I'm not sure who I'd cut to get him there.

I wasn't being a smartass, I genuinely meant that overall our preseason predictions from the poll seemed reasonable.

This seson will be a little rough(middle of the pack) but the next season will be very good. Also we're about to sign a top 10 player.

If tilmon stays out of fouling trouble, then they do have the best starting front court.

Tilmon has been consistently overrated by Missouri fans. He was just ok as a freshman and constantly fouled out of games. He has no idea how to defend without fouling. He was constantly in foul trouble all of last year.

Most likely. I know I have looked this up before but I think he has finished higher than the SEC preseason media poll every year except one. Based off of that I expect an 8-9 finish in the league.

The better way to put it is very inexperienced, which can very likely end up being very bad. Overall I do like the type of players he is bringing in for his system but I'm not sure he is going to be able to coach them as upperclassmen unless he steps it up.

The key will be all the young guys adjusting to CBB basketball quickly and Gafford taking the next step. Got to be able to lean on him throughout the season.

I dont think Arkansas at 10 is a bad pick, but definitely could see them finishing a little lower. Outside of Gafford they just have nobody. Will be playing a ton of freshmen, and not the "they're playing because they're great freshmen" freshmen.

Agreed, just thought it was going to be in the bottom four.

I don't believe there is a single player on the team that has attempted a 3 in college. The only person really worth mention is Bailey who was considered a "starter" towards the end of the year. Not worth mentioning because I think he is going to be great but worth mentioning because he did start getting more minutes as the year went on. Osabuohien is raw and has been reported to have been improving a lot but who knows how true that is with the way the media works.

Well ya, they are going to be getting minutes because they have to, just so much unknown which is why they should be towards the bottom. As I said earlier, I think these players are going fit his style more than previous years but there is no telling how long it will take for these players to become solid College Basketball players if ever.

In regards the the other teams in the preseason poll. I'd probably swap Vandy and Bama but that is more based on potential than anything else.

I thought Barford and Macon were exactly who he wanted, those were huge JUCO pickups for Anderson.

Very surprised Anderson was content going with really a bunch of freshmen (only 1 JUCO) in this class with no true headliners when really you could argue 2 or 3 should have been JUCO guys. I guess there's the New Mexico transfer as well but doesn't seem like a guy to be excited about.

Get the feeling Mike is just kind of throwing away this season and hoping for a much better 2019-2020 season (and Gafford sticking around for that perhaps, hard to imagine him sticking around again though).

Not trying to say that they couldn't play in that system well. Just talking about the class as a whole, since it is so big. You won't get an argument from me that overall over those last two years, the team underachieved and I think it was more to do with the coach than the players.

I don't think it was really by choice to start. In general Mike hasn't been good at roster management. That JUCO he grabbed was after two players transferred out. One probably needed to go and the other was a surprise.

As much as everyone loves Mike the person, I don't think he can afford to throw away a season. I know he got an extension through 2022 last November but I don't think it means a bunch if they just sleepwalk through the year. He is just putting himself in a deep hole. Would take a crazy 2019-2020 year to save his job if that is the case.

Gafford decision might play a big part but I'm fairly confident he will leave after this year. Apparently Portis and him are good friends and Portis left after his second year. I kind of expect the same thing.
