SEC Mens Basketball Preseason Media Poll and 1st/2nd Team All SEC Players selected

With the start of the Mens Basketball season being a few weeks out, the Preseason selections are now out. More info below:
Birmingham, Ala. – Kentucky was predicted to win the 2019 Southeastern Conference men’s basketball championship in voting by a select panel of both SEC and national media members.
The Wildcats are the overall preseason favorite for the 14th time since the 1998-99 season.
Tennessee junior forward Grant Williams was the choice of the media for SEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. Auburn’s Bryce Brown; Florida’s Jalen Hudson; Kentucky’s Keldon Johnson, Reid Travis & PJ Washington; LSU’s Tremont Waters, Mississippi State’s Quinndary Weatherspoon; South Carolina’s Chris Silva and Tennessee’s Admiral Schofield also received votes in the Player of the Year voting.
Travis, Waters, Silva, Williams and Arkansas’ Daniel Gafford were each All-SEC First Team selections. Brown, Hudson, Washington, Weatherspoon and Schofield were second team picks along with Auburn’s Jared Harper and Missouri’s Jontay Porter.
Points were compiled on a 14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis. Each media member also voted for a five-player All-SEC Team. Ties were not broken.
The 2018-19 campaign begins November 6, with conference play set to begin January 5. The 2019 SEC Tournament will be March 13-17 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

I'd argue with all confidence the SEC is the best football, basketball, and baseball conference in the country now. And UF has helped in each cause so feel comfortable celebrating the conference success.

If you think preseason rankings mean anything.... good for you. We have the best frontcourt in the conference. We are not finishing that low.

It would have been McLemore already if he hadn't gotten hurt. He missed the last 5 regular season games and still almost led the league in total blocks, and he was just starting to get hot and play his best ball.

Yea never mind just looked at the stats, not clue why they gave it to Silva over a guy who was more significant on a good team.

Name two better frontcourt players then Jontay Porter and Jeremiah Tilmon on the same team, both of which were freshman last year. Both will be playing at the next level easily.

Travis and PJ Washington are a better duo by themselves. UK also has much better depth down there.
Sorry, but UK frontcourt is better and it's really not close.

Top 7 is exactly what I have. After that I have some disagreements (move A&M and Georgia up a bit, Arkansas and South Carolina down a bit) but I like those seven as pretty solid tournament teams.
