Not entirely true. People like SummerofGeorge began championing him long ago, which is why he stuck around instead of vanishing. He craves validation, and this is the only topic he gets it from - which is why he persists. I've become bored of it, but it's fun to stat own him from time to time.

Alabama has won three straight to win the playoff as well. The only difference is LSU fans demand respect and like to include Texas in there with their argument of how tough the road to the title was.

Again, Ed O is 1-1 in the Citrus Bowl as LSU's head coach. One national title doesn't change the fact that in his four years as LSU's head coach, half the time he's ended the season in Orlando.
It's an odd argument for you to make. Saban went nine years without missing a BCS bowl or the playoff. Orgeron hasn't gone more than two years without making it to the Citrus Bowl.

I can tell this is accurate because I've watched him use the same approach while also polishing Will Wade's knob for the last year plus.
