Unless you bring in the national guard on the sidelines, there will never be a way to stop a mob from storming the field.
Schools not encouraging the fans to do it all week before the game would probably be a good way to start.

The only way to stop it would be to remove the first 10 rows of seats and install a wall you can’t scale over

Instead of beefing up security to prevent it they need to have plans in place to stop human crush events from happening

How about making it a rule that you can storm the field once the visiting opponent is off the field
You might have to wait 10-15 minutes but then at that point you can go on the field to celebrate

No need for security, announce that any student will be suspended for the balance of the term and lose future tickets. Announce there are several cameras on the field.

Elite programs do not storm courts or fields. Period.

Maybe actually do something about the players hitting fans instead of punishing fans

Fans aren’t supposed to be on the field. If you don’t want to get punched, don’t rush the field

It would ALMOST be worth inviting Clemson to the conference JUST so the league could put a stop to them storming the field after each game...

I hope so and take the goal post back to the trophy room

Okay, works both ways. Someday when a thug like Burton punches someone and about 25 fans nearly kill his worthless arse. Don't cry.

I will never understand why SEC cares if people storm the field. Pick something else to champion.
Because an Alabama wide receiver was almost killed after the TN game didn't you see the videos?!?!

Yup... it's too bad people can't just be reasonable anymore but all of this drama is what the SEC is trying to avoid and if they don't at least appear to be trying to stop it someone will eventually get hurt and sue the SEC for $25mm.

I think the home team owes it to the visiting team to keep the idiots off the field or court. It's not that hard but some schools don't even want to try. They are eventually going to get the pants sued off of them if they don't wise up.
It is easy to keep the fans off the field, it is called K-9 units.
