TIER 1: Alabama & Georgia

They appear to be head and shoulders above the rest of the league.

TIER 2: Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Florida

The only clue about how these teams should be ordered is Kentucky over Florida since that's the only game that has been played. Ole Miss and Arkansas will be decided this weekend.... that will help us know more.

TIER 3: LSU, Mississippi State, Texas A&M

This tier is the most clearly defined. LSU is the 8th best team in the league... Mississippi State is 9th. Aggies are 10th.

TIER 4: Tennessee, S. Carolina, Missouri, Vanderbilt

Tennessee is clearly at the top of this group at the moment. South Carolina and Mizzou play this weekend. Vandy is absolutely at the bottom. I might should add a 5th tier and put Vandy by itself.

You’re gonna catch a lot of heat for this but your list is pretty good.

Agreed.

Tier 1 only competes against itself.

Tier 3 teams could beat Tier 2 teams.
Tier 4 teams not Vandy could beat Tier 3 teams.
Vandy isn't beating anyone.

I can’t say I disagree with you.

This year is the most legit I’ve seen Georgia in awhile.

5th tier

Texas and OU

I agree with that assessment. Hard to argue that UGA and Bama are on a different level.

Like it, but I'd probably have a fifth tier with Vandy and Mizzou.

5 tiers as vandy is all alone at the bottom, and vols are clearly a level above mizzou

This Vanderbilt team may literally go down as one of the worst teams in conference history.

As a side note, SC played Ky closer than UF (-6 vs -7) and UGA closer than Arky (-27 vs -37)...

The season isn't over and transitive property yada, yada, yada, but just sayin....

so the difference between tier 2 and tier 4 is 6 points?

USC is getting a lot of hate for losing to UK (close) and UGA ( understandable, but we did score points so woo)

As a Mizzou fan I honestly would not put 1 cent on Mizzou vs Vandy. Until I see a improvement on defense I would but Mizzou down with Vandy.

Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, and Kentucky on a neutral field would beat Florida by 10+.

I get where you're coming from, but Vandy is just remarkably bad this year. Historically bad. They damn near lost to UConn this weekend...the now undisputed worst team in the FBS.

How is UK beating UF by more points at a neutral site than at a home game

Arkansas nearly put up Vandy like numbers against UGA.

At this point FL is only in tier 2 because they played Bama close at home?

Auburn gets a pass for Bo Nix playing out of his mind against a bad lsu team?

Agree this week will tell alot about Ole Miss, and they can stop the run and or run the ball.

They didn't even beat Florida by 10 in Lexington.

Tennessee would probably beat all 3 of these teams right now.
