A top 10 job, maybe pre-NIL - portal. It’s possible any given year. Now it’s a money game bud… LA is a poor arse state so you better find some Rich boosters to keep it going.

LSU paid out in the top 3 for rosters this year….they just had a coach who was disengaged and checked out….LSU will always be extremely talented
Sorry that hurts your feelings and narrative, bud

What’d that get you? LOL LOL LOL
There are other steps in the process after you get the money. You have to know how to spend it. Clearly, LSU has not spent their money well, hence the reason you have no coach & complete turmoil.

Hopefully Drinkwitz stays at Mizzu.

I guess he won't be going to LSU then....
You old time thinkers just can't seem to comprehend the new norm. Parity has arrived in college football due to NIL. College Football is now minor league pro football. Coached and players care about today's paycheck. They laugh at LSU thinking a trophy in a case actually has an effect anymore...it doesn't. No one cares about the past successes.
With that said Drink is making 9 mil a year an the only thing that will move him is 12 mil a year. That might not even be enough to persuade him to move to the bayou.

Mizzou will pay whatever is needed to keep him. If he leaves, it will not be for money.

Bookmarked this thread. Some Mizzou fans going to look foolish, soon.
Posted on 11/2/25 at 4:33 pm to KCM0Tiger
So you’re saying he doesn’t want to win conference and/or national championship.
Posted on 11/2/25 at 4:38 pm to KCM0Tiger
So you are firmly in the drink leaves category?

KY looks foolish all the time…..so…..

And who the frick ever said Drink won’t leave?! I simply stated Mizzou will match most offers. I don’t know the man so I can’t say what he will do.

Thos is true.
LSU
Florida
Penn State
Auburn
Are definitely better programs than Missouri. Arkansas and Virginia Tech may be as well.

I laugh when people get bent out of shape when the coach of their favorite team gets mentioned for other jobs.
It's out of everyone's hands...coaches leave for different reasons to what they think will benefit them and their families best. It's no slight to the team they leave or go to. Seems silly to get emotional over imho.

Kiffens to UF to me just makes the most sense. Drinkwater to PSU makes sense. LSU looks tricky right now and auburn Arkansas is just purgatory

After an 8-4 season, he's not going to be a hot commodity.

Nothing against Missouri... but those places that he claimed were "better jobs" than Missouri... all get more than 100K to their games.
And before NIL were all leaders in the athletic facilities arms race.
Mizzou can maybe pay their players the same market value... but Missouri just isn't comparable as a word I hate to use..."brand"...

Will file this post away…so if he leaves it was surely to a better program with a higher ceiling and better opportunities to win championships…not salary

I love Gundy but I think he’s toast. He could do good at a smaller school
