More money in broadcast rights for 2 mid level SEC teams than the ACCN game of the week
You sure about that? I thought ACC actually now has a better deal in place (though we were set to begin renegotiations soon, which likely means that we'll dwarf them at that point, but I think ACC gets 240M/annually from ESPN whereas the SEC is getting like 150M annually from ESPN (obviously doesn't include CBS games).
This is not the area I'd consider myself most knowledgeable, so could definitely be wrong.

I know for sure the 240 million deal to each school is right
And I know for sure that if Cheese Grits is wrong he won't comment on this thread again

Hilinski started off as our QB2, Dakereon was QB3 so we'd be down to QB4 if Hilinski can't play either. QB4 is Urich. He took over for Kelly Bryant when KB graduated high school. They went to the same high school except KB was a year ahead of Urich.

If Muschamp pulls out the 4th string QB I don't even expect Kentuckys defense to take the field. It's gonna be a massacre.
Stoops can't stop QB2... QB4 would be a brilliant stroke by Muschamp.

Actually very possible to imagine. A lot of Ohioans come down here and naturally people bandwagon onto successful teams. It's actually -inducing but it is what it is..

Yeah, no. ESPN is paying the ACC 240 million annually for 20 years. That then gets divided amongst the 16 universities... 15 million/year per school.
I have no idea what the line-item breakdown is, but the SEC distribution in 2018 per school was 43.7M (Miss got less due to postseason ban).

I watch several games over the weekend.. typically an early SEC game, our game at the bar and whatever else is on simultaneously and maybe a SEC night game or primetime matchup. My favorite though is fricking chilling out in my bed watching whatever late arse Pac 12 game is on. But no, I don't watch Clemson unless it's on at the bar and I don't have a choice. Unfortunately the Saturday bartender is a Clemson fan... from Ohio - no original ties to SC. Go figure.
I will admit that if UofSC were kicking arse, I probably wouldn't watch them. I don't even actively root against UofSC, but when they're losing, I do get a chuckle out it.

If I was wrong I would correct it and move one, however, your level of error here makes me want to laugh and laugh, then laugh some more!
If it makes you feel worse, Kentucky's Tier III deal with JMI was 210 million and that is below the SECN deal and the CBS deal for Tier I and Tier II that they share with the conference. JMI deak with UK
So lets say ACCN deal is 240 / 16 ACC members = 15 million per school per year
2019 ACCN Tier I, II, and III = 15 million per school per year
2014 UK Tier III = 14 million per year
UK inked a deal for their worst rights in 2014 for 1 million per year less than the ACC inked their deal for their best rights in 2019.
 for the ACC conference value

Yawp... it was the B1G that inked the most recent deal that is likely to up the ante for the next SEC negotiations as well... They now have their annual distributions up over 50M/school, though they also have fewer total schools as well... The SEC is likely to command a pretty stout number in the next negotiations and in part I believe is why they're holding out to determine what, if anything, they do with scheduling going forward (whether that's 9 games, pods, etc). If they commit to something prior to the negotiations, they are stuck... if they discuss it with ESPN during, then they have leverage/flexibility to see what ESPN will pay the most for. Perhaps we should put the pressure on ESPN to drive the SEC into RoommateSwitch/Pod play.
