LEXINGTON, Ky. - Fourth-string quarterback Michael Rathe threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Troy Williamson with 1:28 left, lifting South Carolina to a 12-7 win over Kentucky on Saturday night.
South Carolina, in the Top 25 a week ago, narrowly avoided its second straight loss. The Gamecocks (5-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) fell to Mississippi last Saturday.
South Carolina committed five turnovers, one more than Kentucky (1-5, 0-3 SEC). The Wildcats have lost four straight.
Rathe, a senior who had appeared in only two games this season and completed only one pass, entered with 6:29 left and the Gamecocks trailing 7-6. He was 5-of-7 for 57 yards on the 88-yard drive, and received two breaks on the incompletions, as Kentucky's Vincent Burns and Mike Williams each dropped potential interceptions.
On the touchdown pass - his first in two seasons at South Carolina - Rathe rolled to his right and lobbed the football to Williamson to the back corner of the end zone. Williamson leaped to make the catch and barely got both feet down inbounds.
Kentucky quarterback Shane Boyd threw four incompletions on the Wildcats' final possession.

Well nobody can watch 1/2 the Clemson games because they're all on a channel nobody gets.

If SC loses to Kentucky, the radio call in shows will be on fire next week.

I'm a fan of the sport; I watch several games every week.
You don't?

Anyone can get a streaming service if you can afford the internet.

You make the assumption that I would WANT to watch that channel.
Why would I pay for something I don't want?

TRANSLATIONS
My fandom goes all the way back to Clemson being in the CFP
Clemson and SEC games, but wishing Clemson was in the SEC and knowing this is as close as Clemson will ever get to the SEC.
I am really old and probably retired before you we're even born. I limited mobility and lots of time so college sports and tRant can fill that time quite well. Now if I was still young I would be drinking and chasing tail, so I wonder why you are not and this is the only answer I can come up with.

Welp, things just went from bad to worse. Dakereon Joyner, our backup, is out Saturday due to a hamstring injury.

I watch several games over the weekend.. typically an early SEC game, our game at the bar and whatever else is on simultaneously and maybe a SEC night game or primetime matchup. My favorite though is fricking chilling out in my bed watching whatever late arse Pac 12 game is on. But no, I don't watch Clemson unless it's on at the bar and I don't have a choice. Unfortunately the Saturday bartender is a Clemson fan... from Ohio - no original ties to SC. Go figure.

What?? You just hit the UK lottery!
Back ups are the Achilles heel for UK winning. If your backup is out, that means you are in the butter tub now.
UK was beating UF at The Swamp once if memory serves...
UF got down to their 3rd string guy and Gators sent in this guy LINK
