SEC Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2020

Coaches dish on all 14 SEC teams

It's not easy getting college football coaches to honestly comment on another coach, player or team. Most coaches don't want to give opposing teams bulletin board material, which is why there is a lot of coach speak or overused cliches used during the year.

In order to get an accurate assessment of teams heading into 2020, Athlon asked coaches in the SEC to talk anonymously about their opponents.

I guess that they don’t want them finding out there way of coaching.

I'd like to believe otherwise, but you are probably right.

The problem is they're busted at every position.

This one hurts, even for Vandy.

"The best thing going for them is that they're so many years into this system that this isn't a new situation. They've lost quarterbacks in season, they've had to get creative, and they've known this was coming. This is where having a veteran staff and a consistent development pipeline saves you, which is exactly why Kentucky hung with Mark when he was building it up."

This is pretty spot on. Good to see pretty much all of the UK comments were positive.

It would be nice to get some credit for basically losing a season and a half because our coach got cancer.

We're doing well considering that.

"He operates in a way that suggests meth and cannabis controls his day, but you never know what you will get. He once called a game after dropping acid and was tripping balls until he pounded a bottle of Crown Royal at the half."

Then went on and blew a 30 point lead at home in the fourth qtr to a California team.

I think a pathetically nontransparent attempt to get clicks on a publication that is no longer relevant. How could anyone believe these "ghost" coaches' comments? Real, fake, you tell me? Current coaches, past coaches, a cousin of an ex coach maybe? Gee, let me just make up a story that sounds interesting, only I know if it's real.

The Arkansas statements made me feel really bad for Arkansas fans that had to watch the program last year. Just brutal

I dont think you understand for how long UGA has been abusing Third and Grantham.
It could have been said by Mike Bobo, Jim Chaney, and James Coley. All 3 are still in the SEC, I believe.
