Malzahn. That Auburn team last season was an absolute shitshow considering the talent they have.

Saban wouldn't be a bad choice if they run the table again.

Bielema...he coached his teams to 3 Rose Bowls...he should be coach of the year, every year...

Pinkel. They haven't lost and are light years ahead of expectations.

Interesting. Auburn largely has the same players, and they were a shitshow last year.

Everyone is seeing a Mizzou squad that ISN'T decimated by injuries.

So you have one coach getting the most out of his players and the other coach finally able to use his effectively.

I still lean to Pinkel because they haven't lost.

It speaks to the coaching IMO. Not saying Pinkel can't coach, just Malzahn has had coach his arse off to overcome the losing mentality. That and moving Kiehl Frazier the hell away from under center.

Recruiting is part of it, but could Malzahn be undefeated with the caliber player Pinkel has recruited with Mizzou's schedule? Malzahn is working with much better talent, according to recruiting rankings. Obviously Pinkel is great at spotting and developing talent.

Okay you could replace Pinkel with Malzhan and it would make just as much sense.

yeah, but the change was Pinkel's own doing... that's gotta be a knock against him.

with that said, as of right now i'd say Pinkel... may change with how the rest of the season plays out.

Auburn has out recruited Mizzou. Pinkel has been doing more with less.

For keeping the level so high and complacency so low

Much more difficult than improvement IMO

Pinkel.

Gus is doing a great job, but Auburn is a team loaded with talented players. Chizik completely lost control of the team last year and they played way below their talent level, but there are a lot of 3 and 4 star players on that team.

I don't know anything about MO, but they can't have the quality of recruits the last 2 or 3 years that the barn has had. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't follow recruiting that much, I just never hear anything about how great MOs class is.

Seems to me Gus is just getting his kids to play at their talent level, while Pinkel must have his team playing above theirs.

Gus is working with the most undisciplined team I had ever seen in my life

All the recruits were there but their talent was not shown

Gus came into a complete shitstorm and is doing this

Pinkel just got hurt players better in the worst SEC East I've seen

Wouldnt you say its pinkels fault they do not have the talented players from the get go? after all they are his recruits

Pinkel
Graduation success rates in the top 10%
A perfect (up to now) season
Overall winning history
Success at managing the shift to SEC
He is on track to pass Don Faurot as the winningest coach in Mizzou history -- an honor he will earn when the Tigers knock A&M on their butts.

On Oct. 23 I'd vote for Pinkel.

If Auburn wins the Iron Bowl, though? No question who wins.

Either way, they've both done a helluva job.
