The REC is waiting to see how the TCU/OU game is going before deciding which horse to back in the SECCG. Will pick the officials accordingly.

I can guarantee you it won’t be that cow humping barner Matt Austin.
I believe Matt Loeffler’s crew will get the call. They officiated the Iron Bowl and did a decent job.

I thought they did fine overall. Botched the 12 man penalty/motion no call, but other than that they were solid, IMO. Bama finished with more than twice as many penalties as Auburn, but I don’t remember thinking any were egregiously bad.

I agree. Some thought there should have been more pass interference calls, but they allowed physical play from db's on both sides. The ones they called against Auburn were intentional penalties to save touchdowns. That's just good coaching. When you consider both teams like to line up fast and play fast, they did just fine.
