If the NCAA used the Ken Pom rankings it would but fortunately for all of us they don't and our RPI of 58 isn't going to hurt anyone.

The committee does look at various other metrics including KenPom.

Next 2 games for Bama:

vs. Clemson (100 RPI) in Birmingham, AL

vs. Arkansas State (18 RPI) in Huntsville, AL

Bama better be ready for State. They're good this year from all indications.

They had a some what head scratching loss to TCU, but beat Georgetown at Gtown early in the season.

To be honest, KenPom doesn't track W/L the same way so even if we won that game, our rank would have been roughly the same.

You even following basketball this year Hawg? TCU is 9-1 with some decent wins vs UWash x2, UNLV and Arkansas St.

Jamie Dixon, the old Pitt coach is there and working some magic

Look for that to change if A&M wins tomorrow.

Of course.

State lost by 23 to TCU, which is head scratching. TCU just lost to a mediocre SMU team by 15. Outside of the high RPI win against Arkansas State, their wins are VERY meh this year. Illinois State is their next best win and they are 4-3

Dixon is at TCU, but they will likely still finish the season in the middle or towards the bottom half of the Big 12.

SMU is better than mediocre and it was a home game for them. Even though it was Dallas, the tickets sell to SMU fans first.

That margin definitely is, but that can happen during road games.

TCU isn't some great team right now, but they are solid and have a quality coach

They're not there yet. But we have some serious talent coming in next year. We're about where I expected this season, in the middle of the nit pack.

What Frank Martin has done with the terrible program he inherited is amazing.
what people need to do is recognize frank martin as being one hell of a basketball coach....he has done a wonderful job turning shite into silver coins....bruce pearl is in year three of doing the same thing.....i don't think people really know just how bad those two programs were...frank martin, i have been told, is one of the nicest people you want to meet off of the court, but what you see is what you get on the court

avery johnson was a fantastic hire and he'll get you there....i look forward to a very competitive conference in the near future, and i am willing to bet that kentucky will no longer be such an obvious pick any more

I wouldn't say that this season. Ive been to two of their games and am friends with a very big donor there and he agrees with me as well. They're not as talented as they were a season ago and it will be a work in progress for them.

They are okay in my opinion. When talking about the Big 12 they are not better than Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, in my opinion. That alone puts them finishing 6th, which is the middle to lower part of that league. Kansas State and Texas Tech have also gotten out to fast starts this season, but their wins are comparable to TCU's, so I can't say who is better when discussing those three teams. The wild card in that league is Texas and if their young players will ever put it together going into league play. If they do, thats a good crop of 6 teams in that league. Then you have TCU, Tech, Kansas State, and Iowa State trying to fight it out for who doesn't finish last.

Two years ago TCU started the season 14-1. Of course it was a different coach, but the ended the season 18-15 overall.

Our RPI is in the top 40 with no bad losses. This is bad.
