I think it’s safe to say SC won the overachiever award and Arky won the underachiever…

LSUMBB massively overachieved. I watched all 18 SEC games LSU played (and most OOC games too) and it is inconceivable to me that we won 9 SEC games.

I agree with you 100%. After Nicholls State beat LSU earlier this season I really thought LSU was going to be in for a really rough year.

State underachieved bigly. Exact same team back that went in as a play in team, plus we added Hubbard and Jimmy Bell. Lost to freaking Southern and looks like we might not make the Big Dance. This team should've been no lower than a 6-seed and as high as 3-4.

Same way we’ve felt about Pearl every single year minus one. Can he get out of the 1st weekend for the 2nd time in 10 years?

Only 1 of the teams grossly underachieved.
2018: season derailed due to injury to key player
2019: Final 4
2020: COVID but this team would have likely made a good run
2021: Team sucked but was ineligible anyways thanks to NCAA
2022: Team that I was referring to
2023: Lost to a 1 seed while being an 8 seed
2024: we will see
