UK is the only SEC program (currently) that is a threat to perennially make the final four imo.

Feel like a tier 2 of Aub/Ark/UT is fair. I think we’ll see UF move back into that tier soon as well.

As much as we have fun at their expense, UK is still alone in tier 1. They can pull a class full of 5* and make a run at any given time. Tier 2: AU/ARKY/TENN

This!

Tier1
Kentucky

Tier2
Arkansas
Auburn
Tenneseee

Tier3
Alabama
Florida (potential)
LSU (they will be back around 2030)

Vandy made the list twice, is that good or bad?

TN should be in tier 3

They have one Sweet 16 in Barnes 7 years. Only one and haven’t made it any further

I’d put Auburn at tier 3 as well.

In Pearls 8 years at Auburn he’s made it out of the first weekend one time. Yes only one time has he made it out of the round of 32

Final4 = 2 Elite 8s and then add winning the SEC multiple times. Auburn is definitely Tier2. Bruce managed to accomplish all of this during the NCAA investigation...

Auburn has won the most games in the SEC the past 5 years. They’re the last team to make it to the Final Four in the SEC. They’ve made the NCAAT 3 times and would’ve been 4 if C19 didn’t stop a season. They’ve won the SEC Regular season title twice and the SECT once in that span. They’ve won at least one game in every NCAAT.

They’re not tier 3.

Would like to see Toney and Umude come back. Both great defenders and we saw both increase their scoring later in the year. A full year with Muss and I think they not only become better defenders, but more legit scoring threats. Would be huge to keep both of them and JWill.

Musselman and Oates have been in the SEC 3 years.

Muss leads the league in wins and never had a losing season especially not in year 7.
Back to back Elite 8s in year two and three.

Recruits have taken notice and it’s obvious

Bruce is a good coach. I was a little surprised when I saw he’s only made it out of the first weekend at Auburn once.

March Madness is what matters.

I’ll I’ve credit for the final 4 but one year out of the first weekend is bad. 14-16 is real bad for year 7

Umade can’t come back. He’s done.

Toney will be back. J Will won’t be drafted this year. He needs to be able to knock down college 3s. They are just long twos in the NBA.
Plus JWill is an Arkansas boy and wants to play with these studs we have coming in along with Devo

I'm not sure Toney would even be a highly coveted Euro League player. Notae's shot is unreliable. It sucks for him because he'd be an NBA player if he was a better shooter.

I agree on Toney. He will play overseas but won’t be one of the ones making crazy money.

He will be back. There were rumors of Notae coming back but I think he’s ready to move on. He won’t play in the NBA but could play in the G League.

He’d make more money from Mrs hunt and her basketball NIL

Based on that list, 1983 is not so bad ... Football schools have streaks in basketball, only Kentucky has sustained for long periods.

Some had Williams projected as a late first rounder. But I doubt that and if declares then he is likely middle or late second round. He needs to return and improve his game which I believe he will.

I've been thinking about that all year, but did spend extra time during the game yesterday. I know we're in the mix for the current #1 transfer, Aimaq, who's a 7 footer.

If that is the case then Vanover will transfer to water and towel boy positions.

Right now, I'd go with

T1:

Alabama
Arkansas
Auburn
Kentucky
Tennessee

You could put Kentucky in a tier by itself, but mostly because they have more sustainability with their past. But I don't really believe they're any better than the others at this very moment.

I'm almost inclined to drop Tennessee, since they always disappoint, but the talent is still there. This also could change quickly, as some teams like A&M just need to step up their game a little to join T1.

At this moment, I agree with this. Any of these teams could make a run in any given year.

Thing is that we need size that can move and play on the perimeter. e.g. Jabari Smith.

We also need some shooters, but those who think that's all we need are only thinking about offense.
