On that topic, apparently Auburn has really good Friday pitching?

Auburn’s Friday starter is former LSU pitcher Sam Dutton, who just never was able to get over control issues at LSU.

Meanwhile, Chris Stanfield at LSU is an Auburn transfer who was a great fielder but couldn’t hit at Auburn, now hitting .370 in SEC play at LSU.

Baseball in a nutshell.

Hopefully that sweep of Georgia took a little wind out of their sails and their fans as well since we are heading there this weekend. They were high as a kite before that and now they aren’t around.

I’m sure we’re in for a battle though and hope we win one or two, they are a good team.

Hands down it is Florida. missouri is bad, this is 3 free games for you. This will help Florida’s record but gain nothing in strength of schedule….haha

hard to ignore what Arkansas has done on the mound and at the plate so far this season.

Ole Miss was 1 out away from taking 2/3. That would've been a heck of a feather in our hat come selection time because your roster is loaded.

I watched all three games in Oxford against the Hogs and I got to agree with you...Arkansas is stacked. Best looking college team I've seen in a while. Van Horn should win it all with this team.

So if you took the rankings right now, you have 6 SEC teams as national seeds, and 2-3 more hosting regionals. Then another group looking to make it into one, with some maybe as 2 seeds. Wonder how this will finish out?

It's looking like 5-6 NS + 4 Regional Host with some others figuring their shite out.. A&M, Florida, Miss State & Kentucky all could make some noise if the cards fell right.. ironically, 3 of those teams finished in Omaha last year.

For each of those teams that make the jump into the postseason, it will probably push one of the national seeds down.. because those teams have to beat somebody.

More NS = less SEC teams in the field of 64 (10-11)

Less NS = more SEC teams in the field of 64 (13-14)
