I still love football but from a competitive viewpoint, I can not disagree. This league is incredible.

There’s been talk about the SEC having their own football playoff but good chance it still ends with uga or bama winning it. We could have our own college baseball championship and I’m pretty sure in a 15 year span 8-10 different schools would win one.

It’s a great sport because, unlike football, there are much more than just 3-5 teams who have a shot at the title.

If you compare preseason to final results it's intriguing.

Auburn and A&M were both picked near the bottom near the SECW bottom. They made it to Omaha. Ole Miss was picked really high but barely made the field and then go on a run and win it all.

It just has a different ebb-n-flow than other sports.

Georgia wins one in 40 years and now it’s just them or Bama. Lol

This is among the most nonsensical statements I’ve ever read on this board.

That video of OM leaving the hotel for stadium yesterday was amazing. Omaha for a national championship really is an incredible experience. No one does it like the SEC either. The OM fans must’ve outnumbered OU fans 15:1

Agree. Probably the last pure big 3 sport that hasn't gone crazy with NIL yet. We're blessed to watch it from mid February to late June. I'm pumped for next year's season already! Hopefully Coleman, Teabrake and Little along with the other arms we have returning will learn a lot from Wes Johnson. Lack of pitching screwed us this year.

You have a link to that or remember the title of the thread it was in?

So what's better?

I would have said CFB. But the game I grew up loving and watching for 50+ years has morphed into some patchwork abomination.

If there's something better, pray tell.

Agreed. College football has gotten so fricked up over the last few decades. It’s really not as fun as it used to be.

We just won 10 games for the first time in school history and I keep forgetting about it. Don’t get me wrong….saturdays in the fall are still fun and I look forward to them….but the luster just isn’t there anymore.

I'm just glad I'm old enough to remember what it was like before they screwed everything up. Watching a kid cry on NSD and hug his mom's neck because he's going to his dream school has always been awesome to me. Now all I can think of is the scummy behind the scenes deals (which I know have always gone on but jeezus) and the phone calls making last ditch efforts to get a better NIL from the team you've been committed to for a year's rival.

Football, then basketball. Baseball is a distant third.

Nah I'll take basketball any day. Sure almost every school fields a baseball team like basketball, but only a handful of colleges actually give a shite about baseball and put money toward it. Maybe 20 to 30 programs if I'm being liberal. Basketball is completely the opposite.
