Don't take legal advice from Lane Kiffin.

Disparate treatment.

Ineligible is ineligible the SEC doesn’t get to decide which TRO they get to abide by and which they dont

Injunctions bind particular parties and prohibit enforcement of particular rules. They do not automatically invalidate every similar rule adopted by every nonparty. If a court enjoined the NCAA--but not the SEC--from enforcing an NCAA rule, the SEC’s reliance on its own independent rule is not “picking and choosing” injunctions. It is respecting the actual scope of the court’s order.

The SEC requires a player to be declared eligible by the NCAA, some schools have used injunctions to circumvent this.

The SEC has now created an independent rule to keep former pro players from competition, but is not enforcing their own rule where a player has to be NCAA eligible for competition within the conference.

So these pro players go get their own TRO to circumvent the NCAA and the SEC will have to explain why one TRO is good enough to compete within the conference, but the other isn't. Or rather, why they're enforcing one rule but not another.

Nope. Believe it or not, Lane Kiffin did because he thought Trinidad would follow him to LSU.

Lane personally set up the meeting between Trinidad and Tom Mars to get the ball rolling.

So you can thank Lane for Trinidad being eligible at Ole Miss next year

Good luck suing the conference. Surely there wouldn’t be repercussions for doing so

Still makes no sense to me that a guy can play professionally in Europe and come back to college but can't play professionally in the US and return.

It doesn't and won't hold up in court

Yeah sure. Not an ounce of encouragement from OM occurred.

That’s not to say they have teeth either but to think the SEC has more teeth than the ncaa is hilarious

Now the NCAA has balls? Now? For the greater good of CFB I say good. But if these are the rules, we all play by the rules.
