The NCAA is powerless, and college football needs strong leadership. The sooner the P2 can separate, the better. Also, why subsidize the G5, ACC, and Big 12? Outside of Clemson, none of them compete

You all need to get ND onboard the train or they need to fully join the ACC. They are more of a problem than the smaller conferences imo.

Hopefully, this leads to underperforming teams (that haven't won a title since the requirement for facemasks) being removed from the premier conferences.

Well it sucks collge football has come to this and my kiddos won't know the glory and fun it was. I have a feeling eventually baseball and basketball will over take college football. People will get turned off at the notation it's nfl lite. And before you say no look at the nfl.. blah blah blah.. this isn't the nfl it's college sports. There is a reason people are so fanatic about the sport. They have lost site of that and have become money hungry. I forsee other college sports over taking football if they continue down this road

I guess the wimps in the Big12 will just be minor leagues.

Maybe do relegation.

We know a red and blue team has no shot but at least they could recruit to that shite hole selling an ounce of hope.

That’s cute you think that.

But you are a Kansan so I have to keep that in mind. Your football team will never be anything. Most of you understand that.

You even lost basketball and now you think you are a baseball school. Even more cuteness.

I would suggest that arse hurt folks hang out on the board of another conference giving updates no one asks for or cares about.

Look at me
Look at me

Sad really

You voluntarily offered your input about us in a thread about the Big Ten and SEC because you’re so frazzled you got the color of the sun wrong.

I thought only missouri fans were this fragile. Were you born there?

20 years from now the SEC & B10 will be making 4X any other conference.

A person can be against the P2 breaking off formally if they’d like, but it’s already functionally inevitable.

Would rather admit we are different than saying all of us are equal but some of us are more equal than others.

More cuteness.

Just say you don’t understand the reference.

Being a fan of a shite team from a shite conference it’s no surprise that you don’t understand.

It’s going to be ok. Calm dawn.

Big D doesn’t respond to my innocuous posts like you do.

Maybe you should be more like Big D.

He also doesn’t start shite on a Big 12 board

Think about that.

You came looking for my attention. I didn’t seek out yours.

Would you like to know the orange sun and sky blue story as it relates to the SEC or just continue to lash out. I’d be happy to share.

So pretty much every B10 school not named Michigan or Ohio St? Hell, even Michigan has only won 1 1/2 titles since the facemask was introduced

well, there is also Nick Saban for paying players $30 milllion a year since his 2008 class

Lane Kiffin

who all learned that $30 million is the price of admission in the brave new world of professional college players

Long comment and serious question. I realize it’s just speculation but for those of you who really understand this, what would happen to a program like Arkansas? Just to reiterate, we are top 3 annually in Track and Field, top 20 in softball, top 10 in baseball and top 20 in basketball. The big deal of course is that our football program has sucked for a couple of decades now. Is there a serious chance we could get left out of the big leagues in football even though we’re more than competitive in everything else? Thanks.

It seemed to be setting up this way for a while. I’m not surprised. We may see both leagues add more teams in the near future

Based off what the article says, adding more teams would only get us closer to the problem Sankey mentions. That there are too many Div 1 programs going after the same pie.

I could see the SEC and Big 10 adding a small handful of teams each, but nothing major. Maybe topping out at 16 teams each? At that point they start their own league separate from the rest of college football. The SEC & Big 10 then go their own way with their own playoff and championship.

As for the rest of what is left of the FBS, they’ll have their own season with their own method of choosing a champion. If you think about it, in the end it will be a good thing for them. Like, as of today, mid-major teams like South Alabama, South Florida, Tulane, Tulsa, New Mexico, and La Tech just to name a few, currently simply have no chance of ever winning a championship. And even teams like Ga Tech, Virginia, Oregon State, and many more have scant hope of winning a championship. But if all these teams can compete in a league where they don’t have to face the big powers in the Big 10 or SEC, they can be competitive with one another, actually have a real chance at their own championship.

He gets all bent out of shape for posting baseball scores. Otherwise I wouldn’t mess with him.

I’d say it’s entirely possible. If they really start nickel and diming it then it will depend on the value Arkansas football brings. Wins and losses don’t mean shite. It’s all about the Benjamins. And Arkansas will have to decide if they want to go such a route, financially and “morally”. I could see the blue hairs saying no(if they have any say).

This thing is a long way from being formatted and finalized so I’m thinking it’s a wait and see for the likes of us. I won’t be surprised to see some schools break off of this bus and try to stick to a more traditional program.

We need to get rid of teams, ie Rutgers.

However, the powerbrokers will put us through one more round of expansion so they can make sure Notre Dame gets in just before they would have been left out.
