Good lord.
How many "offcial replay reviews" are we going to have to bear going forward because of this stupid interpretation of the rule.
The ball was a half yard in front of the 35?
The ball was 1 inch beyond the 35 yard line?
The future internet outrage about the application of this rule is going to be unbearable. How many internet idiots are going to claim "cheating" about the damn spot of a dropkick?

Blatant face mask. Penalty not called. Simmons would have planted Brandon.
Blatant hold not called, on the same play, 1 second later. Penalty not called.
By not calling any of the penalties within 5 yards of the ball carrier, Barndon ran for 16 yards, boosting his rushing total for the day to +2 yards , a whopping 1.04 inches per carry.
Moving laterally before he kicked the ball. Penalty not called.
Ball not kicked from 35 yard line. Penalty not called.
The ball was kicked from between the 33 and 34 yard lines. There were 4 Tennessee players offsides and past the ball when he kicked it. Penalty not called.
5 obvious penalties happened within 15 seconds of game time, none of which were called.

TBH, the kick isn't illegal and this is more of a missed the exact spot issue. Sark probably thought the kick itself was illegal which is why he checked it.

Folks, it wasn't going to matter anyway. I've heard some credible reports that certain people in Austin were not happy with the way Sankey & Co handled the most recent LSU/Kiffin embarassment. Changes are coming.
