Hard to be uspet if we do get a player of his caliber in a postion of need
But that price point makes losing him a hell of a lot more digestible. He has priced himself to the point where you almost feel a sense of relief if you don't get him

$60M+ on football in one season
The sad thing is when everyone does it, no one does it.
And then when the newness wears off and the excitement is over, some will just fold their athletic programs because they can't afford to keep up the costs or risk the liability exposure of constant lawsuits.

It was the same with Coleman. I don't think a WR1 is worth $4M either, and was happy we bowed out of the bidding war for him at that point.

Just talked to a couple of my butler’s contacts at the children’s hospital. The bag is very secure. Don’t ask any questions

$5m for an offensive lineman that's only played at Colorado is sheer insanity.
I have a feeling in a few years we're going to look back and wonder how in the hell these guys made so much money for this brief window of time, because there is no way this is sustainable outside of professional sports.
Y'all just resigned a baskeball player who is under contract with the Detroit Pistons. We're past the point of no return.

if you can't beat'em join'em amirite
* And if you want a surefire way to get a rule changed, let Alabama benefit in some way. It'll be changed within nine months.

$4-5 million for one year for a "college" prospect. We have entered crazy land.
And NONE of these deals are contingent on performance.
I'm sorry, if you get all conference/all american type money... you better start game 1 thru the last game played.

4 million for a mid tier left tackle is beyond stupid. There's no way any of those 3 are dumb enough to pay him that.

For baseball you'd have to be in the top 1% to not play afew years of college ball
Minor league ball is still over 100 games a season. Some 18 years old arent ready body wise for that kind of grind.
Go play college make some money and have a much better life IMO

He's a great prospect, but gosh damn, $4-5 million for a guy who isn't a quarterback is a ton of money
Maybe for a poverty program like ole miss

When is all this madness going to be reigned in? Imagine paying more than an NFL rookie contract for a kid that might only stay one year.

60M+ on football in one season to still lose to Ole Miss is wild.
You poor child. You barely beat a Brian Kelly team with the worst o-line ever and a QB on one leg.
You’ll get yours soon enough.

I think it’s funny we pretend this still matters.

No chance any team gets buy in from him. He's going to be an underachieving pain in the arse.
