it's too bad A&M couldn't afford to pay him more. I think they really liked him there.

It's good to see LSU is finally willing to pay.

Congrats.

This is my take, as well. I think he'll do well for you guys (dammit!).

We're LSU, we are glad he is home, but we dominate regardless gaggy. College Station is just sub par to BR.

I love how LSU get so butthurt over being too broke to hire Jimbo, that they make their DC the highest paid assistant in the country(when he reached out to Jimbo to save him no less), and now they pay their AD all this money and they'll have nothing left over to pay good head coaches, that they couldn't afford in the first place.

It would be the most laughable financial story in the SEC if it wasn't for that Auburn buyout.

The fact this is in there is pretty indicative that the Will Wade saga isn't over. Will be interesting to watch.

Pretty standard contract language for an AD.

He probably reminded him that his immediate superior is the university president and not the system chancellor, and if he had any "suggestions" that he should pass them along through said university president.

Lol. You had to pay him over 20% more to come “home” - but it’s cute that you think that.

Why not?
It’s not like there are a finite number of pieces to some kind of proverbial pie.
Both LSU and Texas A&M can excel, simultaneously.

Scott Woodward did nothing but great things at Texas A&M, and he’ll always be a friend.
