This is much like the Riley move on us when he went to usc. He said he had no prior contact with usc until they called after our osu game and offered him the job and he couldn’t turn it down and he accepted it on the spot.

Everyone bitches about the transfer portal but coaches will jump ship (even to a rival) in a heartbeat.
People are not going to put a fricking school ahead of their own self-interests, folks. And there’s too much money and opportunity floating around for anyone to worry about jumping on a grenade for the sake of ole State U.
Get used to mercenary players and coaches moving around or get your feelings hurt. Fans facilitate it all, though, with their eyes and money and are as much to blame as anyone for the state of college sports.
No one makes you pay coaches outrageous salaries. No one makes a school in the SEC sign someone from Los Angeles who can barely spell his name. No one makes you contribute to NIL or sign portal players.
Winning is more important than the integrity of the game and quality of students brought on campus.

I wasn't upset with him leaving. I was upset with HOW HE DID IT. In hindsight, I think ever Sooner sees now why Riley needed to go. Under his tenure the program was on the downtrend. He got handed the keys to a Ferrari, wrecked it and tried to hold it together with bailing wire leftover from the Muleshoe family farm.
On UTerus getting Schloss, it would be funny if they forked out all that money for him and he ends up being mediocre for Texas.
