“Serbian Club Ball” played against the G League. What’s the next excuse?

Serbian club ball does not equal leaving school to sign NBA contract and then returning two years later

How?

They’re both professional athletes because they received money for playing.

Everyone receiving NIL is a professional athlete.

We are watching professional sports with uniforms from universities.

Can you explain the distinction?

I don’t like it but we either have to stop watching or accept that it’s just a minor league professional sport.

What is Bediako’s field of study this semester playing basketball as a student-athlete at the University of Alabama?

What was Carson Becks in the NCG?

He hadn’t been in a class room in two years.

It’s dead and gone.

At least Beck has a degree. I suspect Bediako never went to class his first go around at Bama, and he sure as hell won’t attend a single class playing one semester of ball when he is about to be 24 years old.

Yeah, the NCAA fricked up the whole Baylor situation.

How long is it before minor league players are playing college baseball because "they never signed a major league contract"?

Bediako flunked out of the NBA. So he's now 2 and not done. Loser.

Oats would even have a killer on his team. Oh, wait.

Stetson Bennett played like 6 years at UGA and never graduated, did you feel moral indignation about that?

Were you irate when LSU signed an elite LT out of the portal by offering the most money because you weren’t sure about his academic intentions?

It’s a professional sport filled with professional athletes.

Every player in every SEC game is getting money to play.

They absolutely can until the universities make them employees give them collective bargaining and negotiate a deal that governs who can participate (U24?).

Until then it’s just a slow series of lost court cases and chaos.

Could you imagine the Bama posts if LSU brought back Trendon Watford at this point in the season?

Guarantee your perspective on it would be 180.

How about for your entire football and basketball starting lineups refusing to attend and play for LSU without being paid?

Id dislike it and have to to decide if I wanted to continue to watch it like I am right now deciding whether to renew my season tickets.

Every player in the SEC is being paid, dummy. You think Bama is not paying its players?

Yes. Hence my repeated posts about it being professional athletics.

Bama is being paid, Tennessee is being paid, errbody being paid.

We’re just watching the slow degradation of limits around who gets to participate not who is being paid.

Bama fans’ ability to twist themselves into a pretzel to make it sound like bringing back a player who signed 3 NBA contracts all because a Red Elephant Club member judge beclowned himself is somehow just the same as every other player getting NIL money is a sight to behold.

Just blatant degrees of having no shame or ethics.

Do we think the guy is sitting at the game with a grin?

The man is an elected position. Wonder if he's in campaign mode

who signed 3 NBA contracts

Again, how is that different than having an NBA DL or overseas pro contract?

Auburn has players who have signed 3 NIL contracts to receive money to play college basketball. Functionally how is that different? It’s by definition a professional sport.

Again… most of us don’t like it. But it’s a pro sport and once they let the overseas guys in what’s the difference?
