I did. My new mantra is turn it off when we get down double digits. Turn it back on if they get back in it.

Didn’t this roster cost like UK like $25 million? So if Pope misses the playoffs with this kind of money spent, does he get fired?

The season will have to play out. The fanbase is definitely red hot but AD Mitch Barnhart is definitely going to try and use the Lowe and JQ injuries as justification to give Pope another year.

Reality is we haven't signed anyone for next year, and we aren't going to land the 5* difference makers we need playing like we are. Pope had the biggest recruiting budget in the country and this roster of 6th men is what he managed to cobble together. All because of fricking analytics and zero common sense. Terrible.

If things continue on the current path then the decision is going to be out of the ADa hands with this fan base.

The amount goes up with every telling. I would think it all depends on how the rest of the season plays out. Barnhart lets coaches suck a couple of seasons before doing anything.

Good analysis.

If he stays he needs to have a GM help with roster construction. If he continues to resist, you have to fire him.

The problem is he over corrected based on the complaints in the previous season that they needed more defensive, more physical guys versus straight shooters.

Chandler knocked to the floor while shooting the 3.

Zero whistle.

"Yeah ref, he just knocked himself backwards".

SEC deserves better.

True, but Johnson and Noah are good shooters, yes, freshmen, but neither are playing much. I think jelevic is a better shooter too, but not having a PG has everyone playing out of position and the offense looks all helter skelter all game long.

Agree. Mitch needs to have an ultimatum with Pope akin to what he did with Tubby and IIRC Hobbs who was an assistant. Could be wrong about who that was.

It's clear, whatever the hell the issue was/is either this team, that they haven't quit on Pope. The effort is there, unlike how we looked with Gonzaga. That gives me hope for Pope.

I like him. I want to get this fixed. I just don't see how we can succeed next year if he's brought back if we don't fix things this year. Because no one worth a damn is going to sign with us as things currently stand. We're just delaying the inevitable.

All we can do is take each game at a time and win. We're down 6 now. This shite ain't over. We're not dead yet.

Agree. I love Pope, he bleeds blue, but he has to have help putting together the team. This has been a disaster.

Would like to point out basketball should have the same challenge rule as volleyball. If you correctly challenge, you shouldn’t lose it.

Just want to see him get an entire season or two with a PG before pulling the trigger on a new coach.

Curious what the roster turnover rate is for Power 4 teams. Seems like most only hold onto a few players from year to year. Considering that, you're going to have some whiffs.

I did not see this coming. 11-0 run to end half. OU only playing 7 players. I’ve also said they take too many 3’s hitting at a low rate which gives opponent fast breaks. So far OU only took 9 tries (made 3) out of 40 total FG tries. Finally got wise.

And overall, only 8 total fouls called combined. How many will they call in 2nd half. Games usually bog down last 4-8 minutes as refs take over.

Quote surprised at the 11 pt lead. This is a do or die game for OU. But so will be upcoming games. Local press was rightfully hard on Moser this week. Can they hold on in 2nd half?

Clueless ESPN always schedules games 2 hours apart, and then you miss mega minutes of the following game unless you have their stupid app.
