This is a travesty to all D1 baseball fans. Could be a VERY bad thing for Texas baseball recruiting though. Always a flip side to everything in life.
So MANY better match-ups between teams that will actually be in Omaha. Seriously. This one isnt even personal. Gonna be a nightmare for a few new SEC teams next year.

TV schedules are typically decided well in advance of the game(s).
TCU at UTex is often a great baseball matchup.
ESPN couldn’t have anticipated the struggles both teams are experiencing; I give ‘em a pass.

They’re 4-12 in conference. I don’t think a team with less than 12 conference wins has ever made a regional.
They have remaining 2 games with Missouri.
Auburn
Aggie
Alabama
Ole Miss
Pretty much they need to sweep Missouri and Auburn. That gets them to 9-12. Aggie will sweep. Take 2/3 from Bama and OM. That gets them to 13-17 and they could get a 3 seed. It’s doable but they can’t slip up at all
