It has been a breath of fresh air for us State alums/fans after the last two years.
Our pitching has been light years better this year. Just throwing strikes and our defense has improved in turn. Hitting is always going to be a variable. But if you pitch well and play solid defense, you give yourself a chance every time out in baseball.
Lastly, State has seemingly found our comeback mojo again. It was starkly absent in 2022-23. But this years team has that mentality that they are never out of a game.
Now as for today, I have no idea what may happen but I know our guys will scrap and fight until the last out.
A&M is a good ball club so if we are able to claim a series win it would be awesome. Still it is only the second series of the season so a long way to go. Really no weak teams in the conference. Even the teams that may be struggling right now are good clubs.

They’ve actually played really well against us this series, and were basically a shutdown pitching performance on Thursday an improbable PH home run from a freshman on Friday from winning one or both games.
I’d argue that they out-pitched, out-hit, and out-played us last night, we just got the big hit or the crucial strikeout when it counted.

Idk if I'd go that far. That's a much more comfortable win if Rowland doesn't try to play catch with the outfielders twice in the same game.
