Is Miss State the first team to beat Leiter this year? (Should we win this game)

Ok I just went to Vandy’s website. It shows Leiter 7-0 coming into tonight. Either he didn’t pitch the Saturday game vs Tenn or someone else gave it away and took the loss.

Tennessee won the game he pitched in, but Leiter didn't take the loss. So if they are talking about Vandy losing a game Leiter started then yes. Leiter is on the hook for this one unless Vandy comes back.

Sims having his first off outing of his career. Fantastic timing, ha.

7-4 State in the 7th, Vandy with the tying run at the plate.

Okay Sims settled in with back to back strikeouts and Vandy can (luckily) do no more.

7-4 State heading to the 8th.

Bad news is Sims will be burnt for tomorrow. Good news is State will likely get the W tonight.

So much for that insane ERA. Hope he can bounce back next inning.

Sims did not look near as good last inning as he has all year. Just glad he got out of that. Whew!

Oh, frick the Vandy whistler. I want the win as much for the record as wanting to ruin the whistlers night.

Yup, but we'll deal with tomorrow when it comes. We got some hosses in the pen left, how bout Vandy? I still like our chances, in terms of competing. Not having Sims isn't a death sentence for this team.

Meat of the lineup hasn’t done anything, especially with runners on. Frustrating. State has some good arms.

Sims absolutely shuts the door and Vandy doesn't sniff another chance.

7-4 final, rubber match tomorrow.
