Pitch was low but with two strikes the batter has to protect the plate. We all learned that in Little League.

That was a big win for our national seed chances. Gotta figure winning either of the Miss St (road) or UGA (home) series will lock it up for us.
Plus our bullpen hasn't thrown a pitch in a week so we should have a depth advantage tomorrow.

I’d have to see the replay.. looked like the pitcher hit his spot, but maybe the catcher was lined up inside.. or maybe I’m blind.. either way, I think you gotta swing the bat there and take the game outta the umpire’s hands..

Yes. I agree. imo A&M and Auburn are the top two teams we’ve played this year. State is good too. All 3 will make noise in the postseason.

State is really missing our Friday night starter, he should start easing back next week and be ready for post season. We have a deep enough staff that we’ve managed but missing a Friday lock down has hurt. Also just a very deep roster that BOC is just now finding the pieces for, Bevis at 1B just happened last weekend and Wyers at SS tonight, both are massive improvements.
