Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Nick pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Dabo would be the stupidest man in the world to follow Saben. Got it made forever at Clemson, and nobody will survive as the successor to Nick. Ask Ray Perkins how it worked out.

Worked out pretty darned well for Ray.
His seat in New York was getting warm when he jumped to Bama, where he wins 19 games his last 2 seasons (10 in his last) and parleys that success into the Tampa Bay job - where he managed to win as many games in 4 years as he won in his last 2 at Alabama.
He had 4 head coaching jobs (2 NCAA, 2 NFL) over a 13 year career. He managed 4 winning seasons in those 13. All but one of them was at Bama.
So, how did following Bryant work out for Perkins? It was the smartest move he ever made as a head coach.

It could be worse. I was in a waffle house last week and heard Gus Malzahn has a long term contract as Auburn's head coach and they are on the hook for upwards of $50m. And they have an AD running the show from Niagara or Buffalo or something.
