Agree completely. Anything less than a National Championship appearance is failure. Atleast that would be the expectation in Oxford.

What was Lane's budget for this year's roster - like 50 million dollars? He should roll to a national championship with that budget.

I'm building a business and dumping what seems like monopoly money into it right now and I 100% expect to be lucky to simply break even in my first year. Building something takes time and a lot of money, and the results won't happen immediately.

why would expectations be higher for LSU than them

Did Sark say this? Did Sark say the expectations for LSU should be greater than the expectations for Texas?

No.

Here you are, furiously typing, a dumb smile on your face, having an argument with absolutely no one.

Especially since Lane was considered a Lamborghini by that fan base just before he left them for LSU.

No.

You’re correct. The guy he was responding to suggested that.

Sark is trying to avoid the hot seat. If he doesn't win this year, he has no job. He will say anything to deflect

He’s probably talking about LSU’s willingness to steal from children’s hospitals.

The only thing we truly believe is that You and AHM21 are emotionally triggered by everything LSU

Well it transformed our program into a title contender and made Indiana into what they are. So it does work

Weird thought process really.

LSU rebuilt its roster; they were always going to spend more than everyone else.

A guy that's putting in a couple of new windows isn't going to spend as much as a guy who's gutting and rebuilding a house inside and out. Conversely, LSU also didn't pay as many guys to return as some other teams.

It's not going to be a one time thing though. Lane will rebuild most of the team every year. If the argument is that this team should go 8-4 because it's a rebuild year, it's going to be the argument every year. This is not Brian Kelly.

Let's be real here. Having that big of a budget for Lane to purchase already proven players is not even comparable to starting a new business. It's more comparable to buying an already top performing business from someone and seeing if you mess things up or not to take the business down.

How in the hell could Sark be on any kind of hot seat? He is literally the only college football coach in the entire country to make two Final Fours the past 3 seasons.

If he doesn’t win with Manning, he is on the hot seat. Sips are pissed because he is supposed to be an offensive savant and has kind of been average at best

They may force him to hire an OC or just fire him. That is why Muschamp is there
