Well praise to the heavens. It looks like the obvious is finally showing itself.

Your move CDC.

K. Point out how I'm wrong. Are you saying that Sark is in Brown and DKR's league or are you saying that the big donors didn't eventually push even those guys out? Personally I think the ceiling for Sark is Akers but I don't think he has that level of success, Akers had some really good years prior to falling into the abyss starting in '84. The level of politics necessary to be successful at Texas as a HC makes Bama look pretty chill.

How you ended with Texas induced conference destruction was retarded.

Kind of a weird thing to get caught up on but ok.

Texas destroyed the SWC and the Big 12 when they could no longer dominate them. You can go ahead and argue that they won't do it to the SEC because reasons I guess but I've seen this movie before. It just is what it is, Texas knows how to use their leverage better than anyone and in some ways I can respect that. It really doesn't even bother me that much because A&M will be fine either way.

I live in Austin. I've been following A&M and Texas football all my life and my Dad graduated from A&M in the '50s and followed it all his life. It just is what it is but if you want to choose to think that Texas is this benevolent team player and they had nothing to do with destroying the last 2 conferences they were in that's cool.

I don't get Aggies that live in Austin. Hell I'm a Texas grad and I wouldn't live there.

DKR was not run off. Similar to Saban, he left bc he no longer had an advantage over other teams.

I live in the Burbs and been here 30 years, lots of job opportunities here. That said now that the kids are out of HS looking to move. It's also not really a college town, it's a city that happens to have a college in it and unless you are near campus you would barely know Texas is even here most of the time. Austin proper has definitely gone downhill in the last 20 years though, way too many homeless and too expensive. Went from kind of quirky liberal weird to leftist San Francisco wannabe weird. I remember going to ACL years ago and dropping my phone and some lady called my wife who was the first number and returned it so I bought her a beer. Now you go to ACL and you better watch your arse, lots of thieves and some rough characters.

I will say that I have a lot of my sip buddies that have sent their kids to A&M and love it, they just think Texas has gotten too woke. A&M is fighting that battle too, hell we just fired our President over it.

But at least we fired him … it was a “battle”’we weren’t willing to fight.

I too sent a kid to A&M, and it had nothing to do with prescribed wokeness. Nor did your buddies I'll bet, but let's just don't. I'm not in the mood.

We should average the salary of the other 135 coaches, and pay that to Sark.

TV can be deceiving but I thought I noticed a weird interaction when Wingo caught the deep TD. Arch ran over to celebrate and the WRs acted like he wasn’t there.

The last name Manning haunts that kid in his dreams.

We have a coach like that at LSU

Well we have a coach who beats top ten teams then loses to unranked teams. This CFB world is nuts now.

Tom Herman and now Steve Sarkisian. Both hired by Del Conte. What's the horn view of this guy? He taking any heat?

Coaching under Saban has gotten A LOT of people big opportunities and big contracts.

Smart
Fisher
Kiffin
Sark
Cignetti
Brent Key
Napier
Muschamp
Locksley

Just to name a few, but none of them are nowhere near as great as Saban himself.
