but with that being said...frick anyone that thinks they were a good take if we were going to expand. Its a great school who has been very competitive in every sport, has the same passion for football that the schools in the conference do and brought in $$ to every single school in the conference
yea they have some weird shite they do....I mean half the bama fan base fricks their cousin, but we arent kicking them out. hell even my own school in LSU yells to suck the tiger dick.....in other words we have a bunch of weird traditions...granted A&M has the gayest by far, but they still fit culture wise.

Yeah, it is pretty obvious it was a very smart set of moves at that point given what was available and how conference realignment was trending. It set the SEC up for future success while others like the PAC just fiddled until it all burned down.
It has zero read through to all the other dumb factors discussed on this board.
There is not going to be some cultural litmus test that trumps the economics of conference expansion.

UNC and UVA are the crown jewels in the ACC and the SEC would be beyond foolish not to accept Notre Dame if they were interested. Unless something changes college football is a money game now...money is all that matters. If you are going to compete at the level of the big 6 in the SEC plus OU, Texas and ATM you better bring the bank.

I would rather live in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, and Alabama over Missouri. If we get teams from North Carolina and Virginia, you can throw those states in there too. Missouri is not a desirable state to live in.
