The Big12 will just hold their nose and play as long as their lawyers can keep OU and UT in that conference.

We will simply cut the check

With Bama and Auburn moving East, or a pod system being adopted, there won’t be cross division opponents. You might have a permanent pod opponent, like A&M and tu will be, but it won’t be anything more.

The 8 wasn’t for the SEC it was for SEC vs Big12’s remaining 8.

Do you think to get them earlier, that he offers them a cross conference game for each of the 8 schools left? Tell them you cannot have the top 4 and we won’t give you the bottom 4 but you get the middle 8.

Alabama already plays them in 2022 and 2023.

Not sure how you get the middle 8 without getting a few of the top or bottom 4... check the maths ;). But I know that OU already has Georgia in Norman in 2023 and Tennessee in 2024.

16 teams? This is all depending on them letting OU/Texas come early.

Check your maths.

Are you not talking about OU and Texas playing OOC games against SEC schools before they officially join? Would that not involve an SEC with 14 teams, not 16? And is 4+4+8 equal to 14?

Jesus Christ why are you over complicating things.

The SEC and Texas/OU are trying to get them over quicker.

We wouldn’t do this without them coming earlier. So that would give the SEC 16 teams. We would promise not to give them a bunch of low rated bottom of the SEC games, but we are also not sending Bama to play KState.

Those are more handshake agreements than contracts, and are altered all the time. If the school presidents want to play these games, they will be scheduled tomorrow. Damn clever of Sankey to offer this after the "alliance" excluded the 8 from their little cabal.

Lord, I hope the SEC does not waste its $$$ paying that $150 million next year. Let ESPN and UT/OU pay that.

Anyway, I don't care if we have to wait til the 2026 fball season to get OU/UT.

It is not a bad ideal really for the SEC to form this type of alliance with the Little 8...

First, you basically lock in Texas recruiting in a big big way...I mean this will put a wall around the state big time.

Second, some of those games could bring some decent revenue, who wouldn't want to watch TCU or Okie State take on Goliath from the SEC and maybe have a shot to beat them? It's like David vs. Goliath, who doesn't like that story?...Plus, you already have the familiar rivalry games that will get a lot of TV viewership like OU/ Okie State or Texas/ Okie State..

Third, there is some decent coaching in the Big 12, and they take some lower rated recruits and turn some of them into studs...Some of those studs could want to hit the transfer portal after 2 to 3 years at lowly little 8 school, and go play in the big time SEC to improve their draft potential. It could be like the little 8 becomes a form out league for the SEC...

Just saying their could be some positives there for the SEC, and increased revenue for the little 8, of course...

Ahh.. missed that detail. In that case no. Bolsby is stubborn and his pitch is that the current schools will gain more from making OU/Texass pay than working out a deal.

The addition of tu and OU smells to high Heaven. The SEC will rue the day they let tu in this league, and I worry about the league’s longevity knowing that they have been poisonous to the stability of every league they have ever been a member of. This entire move was orchestrated by ESPN.

The XII will not last until 2025. Kansas and someone else will join the B1G and they will go to 16. Notre Dame will join the ACC in football, and they will hold their nose and finally take West Virginia also.

That will leave Tech, Baylor, OSU, KSU, TCU and maybe ISU to form a nucleus and create a strong mid-major. Do they raid the Mountain West for CSU, Boise and Air Force? Do they get Houston, Memphis, Cincy and UCF? They will have options - it just won’t be the PAC.

Yes, I know he’s talking about OU. But, I’m asking if you know why OU gets all these 11:00 kickoffs? Typical ignorance of the tier 3 Texas fanbase
