The sounds system was awful. It could do with a lot of improvement.

I guess I was expecting a Bryant Denny type experience and it was a little lacking. All fine, just not what it could be and should be for a program as strong as Georgias

Bryant Denny had the opposite problem. When playing Dixieland Delight, it was so fricking loud I couldn’t even hear the crowd. The only reason that’s cool is to hear the singalong and the sound system was just blasting my ear drums.

I guess if my team was getting their teeth kicked in at Sanford, I’d find the experience boring, too.

Is the Ole Miss Band not in the student section?

Been to 250+ games with around 18% in other stadiums. If OP thinks the atmosphere was lacking Saturday it was bc his Ole Miss got destroyed and their pep band didn’t get to play much.

Our band was great, on field activities great, interaction with fans is great, team was great. Our goal wasn’t to entertain you.

Kinda. It’s adjacent, but it’s really in an away fan section, which I’ve always thought was fricking dumb. Wasn’t like that when I was a student.

Oh..

quote:

That's the question on Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin's mind through the first four games of the 2022 season. During Tuesday's session with the media, Kiffin vented about the lack of attendance at Rebels home games, comparing the atmosphere at the start of games to that of a high school field.

"When you come back out and you run out of the tunnel and it looks like a high school game playing in a college stadium, you can't let that affect you," Kiffin said. "There's psychology to that obviously, there's a home-field advantage for a reason. And when it goes the other way, you kind of have that feeling that man, are we really still playing in a game here? The players have to fight that."

I know y'all let the play on the field do all the entertaining, but I think it is time for a major upgrade in your guys stadium 'experience".

A little lacking if I may say so myself.

We got a Chick Fil A and now serve beer, what the frick else do you want?

The 100 foot screen isn't big enough? The 1.21 gigawatt sound system isn't loud enough? The multi-million dollar LED light show isn't twinkly enough?

Oops it looks like they shut it back down for 2023. I didn't get to a game this season, was sold last season though.

We can't all play in a HS stadium that only needs so much sq footage renovated

I agree that Sanford’s expansions are seamless. When looking at the stadium you don’t see obvious lines where additions were made over the years, unlike Neyland, for one, where there are hard lines and variations where they’ve expanded over the years.

As for the fall shadows and beautiful campus views… ehh. Instead of the 600 level addition in 2003 where the seats are 1/2 mile from field level, they should have closed in the stadium by wrapping the 300 level around, essentially getting rid of the over rated bridge view. The stadium IMO would look more symmetrical and it would hold in the noise much better

We’ll have to agree to disagree…this is downright gorgeous IMO:
