What was Chambliss’s rating against the SEC before Lane got ahold of him

Because his head coach wasn’t Lane Kififn. This isn’t complicated and his QBR will be waaaayyy better than 56.8 next season. Deep down you know this but put on the brave face while not admitting it.
This all may be true, but I honestly do not even know who Sam Leavitt is, but I didn't watch as much football this season.

Found something to hang your hat on I guess

You forgot how we got another QB and they used the “well what kinda competition did he play against” angle

I think he was not 100 percent this year. He is a gamer and will do well at LSU. A lot better than the scrub they had starting since Daniels.

Hang another worthless banner dimwit.

Remember when ASU made the playoffs?
The program Herm Edwards drove into the ground like a bunker buster?
I’ll give you as many guesses as you want to guess who the QB was

It's hard to keep up with all the branches the melt tree grows. It's not as simple as a bama family tree.

was really good in that playoff game too

He's still the best QB in the transfer portal, but it is also a legitimate point.
He played three games against SEC teams over the past two years:
2024 Mississippi State - 10/20, 69 yards, 0 TDs / 0 INTs
2024 Texas - 24/46, 222 yards, 0 TDs / 1 INT
2025 Mississippi State - 10/22, 82 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs
A lot of his success seemed predicated on his mobility (a good number of rushing yards and rushing TDs in those games), but he's had Lisfranc surgery with a pretty long recovery time (altogether 6 months as the target, and the surgery can take as long as 12).
Still, that's LSU's deal to worry about, not the rest of us.
It feels like he's the best QB in the portal with an asterisk next to that, but the asterisk is simply a "if he gets back to his original level of mobility." If he does, in a Kiffin system, will be dangerous; if not, his arm has not done enough to make opposing defenses fear him.

His stats against MSU last year were legendary
Sam Leavitt's performance against Mississippi State in the 2025 season resulted in a career-worst completion percentage of 45.5% (10-for-22), with 82 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. His first-half struggles included completing only 5 of 15 passes and recording no net rushing yards due to sacks. This game marked his lowest passing output and worst QBR of his college career at that point.
Wait until he sees the competent defenses in the SEC

I am hoping he is really good. I have since read a lot about him and he looks really good, I really did not know about him. Looks like he is a returned missionary from the LDS church. So he is a more mature QB. I like it.

Can you compare that to Lane’s QBs at Ole Miss?

I think 130/130 teams would take Sorsby over him, especially coming off the surgery.
Now, had Demond Williams actually stayed in the portal, he would have been #1 easily.
