LSU has played 4 Top10 teams. How many games has Bama played against the Top10? 2.

Yeah, so weak that it happens to have been ranked higher than LSU's in multiple computer SOS rankings.

including the very computer poll whose results are summarized in the OP. Sagarin rates bama's SOS 14th in the nation, 7 spots ahead of LSU's, at 21 in the nation.

And lost to 2 of them. Bama has played the same amount of top ten teams, as half the teams in the top ten. Still, debunking your claim that Bama's schedule is weak.

That's a BS rating. No way Bama should fall that far.

The stupidity of his system is highlighted by the fact that:

a) Alabama beat LSU AT LSU
b) According to his own system, Alabama has a tougher schedule than LSU
c) Alabama has one less loss than LSU

How on God's green earth can anyone take his bullshite system seriously? I can't wait until 2014 when Jeff Sagarin is no longer relevant in college football.

I meant weak relative to LSU/A&M/Florida/USC.

By no means am I implying bama has a "boise st" schedule...Bama has played an SEC schedule, which is tough by default...But some of their SEC peers in the Top10 have definitely faced a tougher slate of "top-tier" teams IMO.

Don't get me wrong, relative to Oregon and Florida State and Kansas State and Notre Dame, I believe Bama has faced a tougher schedule than all four.

Again, I meant it more relative to bama's SEC peers. Whether right or wrong, Bama definitely got a lighter cross-division draw this year relative to A&M/Florida/LSU/USC.

So you think only a common opponent makes lsu and bamas schedule different?

Biggest flaw in the Sagarin rankings is how they factor in conference strength.

The Big 12 is weighted like this.

1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2-1.

The SEC is weighted like this.

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

That means the top team in the SEC accounts for 1/56th of the formula, and in the Big12 it is 1/30th. Stupid.

Florida has played 4 of the top ten teams and beaten 3 of them, anybody else?
Bama and uga will have a chance to jump UF because they get an extra game. Patience grasshopper.
