College Drive
So I’m not too worried about getting shot but would consider it a win if my truck didn’t get broken into. Decent odds at this place?

Town Lake is infested with dead bodies while the UTrans campus is infested with homeless people and heroin needles

Good location....not terrible, but not the best. Good restaurants nearby (plus a titty bar is very close by)

Anywhere except north part of town. If you’re South of the interstate you don’t even have to lock your doors much less get shot.

Honestly, it's not as bad as most here make it out to be. Do not stay anywhere near the north side of campus, don't stay on Seigen Ln, don't stay in downtown, and don't stay on College Dr.

In fact, just stay away

I go to BR often. I’m a Marriott loyalist so I either stay at the Marriott right near where I-12 and I-10 merge, the Courtyard by Marriott close to campus (it’s a bit dated though), or the Renaissance which is a few miles south.

I always feel safe around those areas and close to campus. Just don’t go downtown.

There are some nice hotels downtown not far from campus such as the Hilton, Watermark, Hampton Inn and Courtyard. There are also some nice hotels on Constitution such as Embassy Suites, Doubletree and Crowne Plaza. All are in safe areas.

The Staring Motel for its ambiance. It's about 6 miles from campus.

There is nothing wrong with staying in any of the hotels in downtown BR. I will also add The Renaissance on Bluebonnet is nice.

Leave your soft arse at home. Texans coming and running their stupid traps in Louisiana has never worked out well for them.
