Wow. That sucks.
He was a moderator way back in the TideSports days, so I’d been reading his posts for damn near 20 years. I always called him TidalMerge because he’d merge threads with a quickness. Dude hated clutter.
Prayers up for his family.

He even came over to Wooly for a while and posted all of our recruiting news. Dude was good at staying on top of recruiting

What a kick in the dick to read this. As others have mentioned, we’ve been reading his posts for literal decades. Sad news. Prayers for his family and friends.

God, I lift up those who mourn the loss of Steve, a faithful Alabama fan. Amidst their grief, I pray You bring them comfort and happy memories of their brother. I hold on to Your promise of walking with us through the darkest valleys of our lives … so I know Steve’s friends and family are not alone—particularly during this difficult time. In the name of Your son, Amen.
Amen

I remember the time Surge posted a very in-depth breakdown of super conferences and what that might look like with scheduling and all. I was the first response with an idea that I thought was a counter point. Apparently, it was too off-topic for him, he nuked the thread and started it again with something like: "Let's try this again and can we PLEASE keep it on topic this time?!?!?"
He was one of a kind and I really enjoyed what he brought to the board. Sorry I ticked you off that time, Surge, RIP brother.

Damn ... really sorry to read this.
Good guy, hillarious at times.
What happened ... natural death, old age, what? He was younger than I, not nearly my sense of humor or good looks but, a super good guy.

Tough news to hear. Good guy, and an absolute master of organizing recruiting data.
