Alabama head coach Nick Saban recognized what Texas put on the field.

“This is like playing an SEC game on the road,” Saban said of the Longhorns, per Dallas Morning News. “They’re going to be in the SEC. If they were in the SEC now, they’d probably in the top half of the league.”

There are going to be some fanbases on here in for a rude awakening when they get waxed by Texas and Oklahoma 8-9 years out of 10 once they join the SEC. They aren't Bama or Georgia but they sure aren't Vanderbilt either.

Lol did you expect him to shite all over Texas after a close game on Saturday?

Of course he's going to say nice things about a team they just beat.

How Texas responds for the rest of the 2022 season, beyond game 2, will determine if Texas is truly prepared to bring it every week. They'll need to figure that out if they want to have any chance of being competitive in the SEC.

So they would be in the top 8 of the SEC? Wow!

They are great programs. But having a more consistent schedule of competitive conference games will pose a new challenge. It’s a lot easier to maintain health when you aren’t playing difficult competition more often than not. Their days of feeding on Kansas, TCU and other consistently overmatched programs for a majority of their schedule is done. Not to mention they are now going to have to deal with a collection of some of the loudest stadiums in the country

Honestly, I don't think we're ready yet, not for an entire 9 game SEC schedule. We're building for it though.

Aggy preparing another request to have Saban fined and suspended.

This is going to sound arrogant but, if you are honest, you know it is the truth. At any point, from 1970 to now, Texas could have picked up the phone, told the SEC they wanted to join, and had an invite in 3 minutes.

Why did Texas join now?

It is not a coincidence that NIL becomes an accepted practice and Texas decided to join the SEC right after that. Texas never wanted SEC level cheating in the State of Texas. That is why we were pissed that A&M joined the SEC.

Now that paying players is legal, we know we can outspend all of you. Also, instead of going to a backwoods university with poor academics like Bama, or a strange freak fest like A&M, athletes can make millions while living in Austin & they can attend a quality university.

Everyone in the SEC is in trouble. Big trouble. You can deny it at your peril, but we will soon dominate the SEC.

Saban trolling is subtle trolling.

By the same token, Saban puts every opponent over. I can't recall off hand any opponent he's shite on before, during or after the game.

It's one of his little trademarks.

Texas is now 0-2 against the SEC after losing to Arkansas and Alabama.

It won’t get any better when they join.

Texas will win the SEC before Arkansas, even with your 30 year head start.

Texas had never once played a team from the SEC before playing Arkansas in 2021? Huh... never knew that

You were right about one thing: that entire post did come off as extremely arrogant

Correct aTm spent all year preparing for Alabama last season and it paid off but they fell apart after that. I for one hope y’all win out.

Never seemed to be a problem back in the old SWC days.
