True or false?

He'll be 74 and his latest contract will have ended.

I think that's most likely his last year barring something else strange happening.

If he's still coaching in 2026, I'll probably have already hung myself.

He doesn't drink (not even that coke), he doesn't smoke. I can see it.

True. Saban retires after the 2025 season so he can run for Congress. He then gets elected to the senate in 2026 as a Blue Dog Democrat.

But he chews a pack of Redman or Levi Garrett a day.

I think he’ll retire. At that point, what more is left to accomplish? He’ll have shite piles of money, more rings than he has fingers and he’ll basically be an immortal in college football. Give everyone else a chance. Enjoy your debbie cakes.

If he ages like he has the last year, he will not make it. Looks tired.

So that'll be what...15 wins in a row vs. LSU?

Meh, he's pretty spry for his age. Despite the oatmeal cream pies for breakfast, he's overall pretty healthy. No alcohol, grilled chicken salad for every lunch, basketball games with the assistant coaches every day.

Even as he slows down moving into his 70's, barring some catastrophic health issue, he's going to be around for several more years.

I quit trying to predict when he leaves Bama.

Early on in his Alabama coaching career I'd have bet he would be gone by now.

He is healthy enough to coach until he's 80 if he and the PTB are satisfied.

I wish I were as healthy as he is and I'm many years younger.

He will go on his terms. Next year? 15 years? Who knows. His life is coaching. When does he decide that it's over?
