Does this shock people? Why would he leave to begin with?

Yeah, this could be the next phrase we bookmark when he's at Texas or wherever in the next couple seasons.

Funny thing is that no one buys his bullshite anymore, so the stories won't die until he is physically on the sidelines at Alabama game 1 every season. I have confidence he'll retire there, though. Probably within ten years and maybe another championship or two.

This is the thing that should worry UA fans. UT and UA are eerily similar in the State of their programs, before Saban arrived at UA ofc. UT a Large money making school with several bad seasons. Has money enough to offer Saban whatever he wants/needs; facilities, Coaches, amenities or whatever else a coach like Saban would want. Whatever UA has UT has more of. If UA is serious about keeping Saban they will have to up their game IMO.
ETA: this is also where the LHN might pay dividends, will have to wait and see.

If Saban left for UT-Austin and made them into a dominate power like he has UA, that would cement his legacy as the most dominate CFB coach possibly of all time.

I would be scared if I was UA fans

I think he will stay until he has more than six National Championshipsat Albama which would put him past the Near as the greatest coach we have ever had.

This year will be his fourth Natty, 3 at BAMA and one at Coonass U. JUs tkidding!!

He will have 3 in the alst 4 years and that is pretty strong work. I think he will coach until he is about 75 so we will have him for about 14 or 15 more years at Alabama.

He owns this state.

All this is a big if.
What should scare UA fans is that the success he has had their and LSU is all he really needs to name his own price. "LSU, almost 10 years after he "resurrected" the program it is still dominate, brought the Tide back from the brink and set them up for the next 10 years also, UT just give me a blank check, Rolls Royce, 100 cases of little debbies and Ill get back in touch with you."
^literally all he needs to say for UT to sack Brown and hire him.

LHN is a reason to NOT take the job. Most coaches - especially one like Saban - don't want the type of constant access to their program that LHN has.

Also, for past two years Kirby has communicated that e thinks the Bama job is his in 2017. Talked to a coach the other day who said he expects Kirby to leave for a HC job after this year. I asked why now and he said "cause he thinks Saban is gonna coach till he's 70"

I can easily see Bama winning 3 or 4 of the next 8 national titles.

Saban could retire from CFB with at least 7 national titles. Easy.

This guy is a legend, a god, immortal soul in just a man's body.

Why stop there? I think you meant he would win the next 8 of 8, no?

As a Free recruiting tool, yeah I think Saban would be all over that like shite on a hog. You are correct in given what we have seen of Saban's personality, he might be adverse to taking on that aspect of the job. But to say that it is not a tool that UT can use to lure him there? What other University has that kind of pull to start their own network with ESPN. UT is a cash cow, no pun.

His heart won't let him coach until he's 70. He looks like he's aged 20 years in the past 10. I don't think he will leave Bama to go anywhere else but I think he will retire in the next 5 years. Either that it his health will make him quit.

His health...The dude is the picture of health. He doesn't smoke, rarely drinks if at all, and works out all of the time. He is not overweight or anything. Coach looks 50 years old. He could coach 20 years if he wanted to but I think he will only coach about 15 more.

When it comes to 'Bama and Saban, you'd be surprised at the otherwise-normal LSU fans who can't resist the trollface.

Most people visibly age the most between the ages of 50 and 60. It's not really rocket science.

People were wondering if he would leave last year and he said he wasn't, and they brought up the same denials he made at Miami. They said the same the year before. I wonder why the Miami denial weighs more than the denials that were true...

At some point, he'll leave, and everyone will say "I told you so". Could be this year, could be next year... could be 5 years.

No one knows. I don't understand why people think they know a man so well they have never met.

It's like I said a month or so ago.
