…and in my mind, it's not close. Yes, both have won titles at two separate schools, but when you look at it closely, you'll see that Urban won his at two premier, nationally recognized CFB programs in extremely populous, talent rich states.

Saban won both of his titles at regional schools, in smaller states, with less alumni, where the built in advantages are less noticeable, or lacking all together.

So many hooks. May as well be fishing with dynamite.

I'd rather have Saban as HC than Meyer, but either one would be a huge upgrade.

wait....

I know Alabama doesn't have as big as a market as Ohio State but Alabama has a board of trustees who want to win and they have a fan base who wants to win more than anyone in the world. Alabama has the best resources in the country when in comes to college football. Nick Saban is the best IMO but you're making it out to be like Alabama was some program that was impossible to win at before Saban.

In terms of CFB prestige of the 4 schools.

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. LSU
4. Florida

Both have won at big time schools, both have won at lesser schools.

Urban Meyer> Saban

What he did at Bowling Green, Utah, Florida and now Ohio St is remarkable. He hasn't just won, he has won immediately. I think theres no doubt that he can get as many championships as Saban and even pass him if thats the overall mark that people will realize as being the best

Leaving a program that you won titles at in a dumpster fire really is remarkable...

Saban has left every program he has coached at in better shape then when he got there. The same cant be said about Urban.

Depends how you shape the argument imo. Saban is doing what many coaches fail to do after major championship runs, sustain that success. Urban sort of left Florida in a not so great position following an 8-5 season.

Urban is better, the playoffs have pretty much exposed his "dynasty" at Bama as a fraud. Unless he can win a CFP national championship, Urban will be top dog.

Too much hook showing but gumps can't resist a shiny hook (showing or not). You'll catch a few with this bait.

Saban went 9-2 in his one season at Toledo and his 2 losses were by a combined 5 points.

He took Bama and LSU to a SEC championship game in his 2nd season at both.

Urban would have won at FREAKING UTAH if they BCS voted them in. He went 12-0 and won the Fiesta bowl
