Calm down. They are playing kids games that every one of us loved to play on the playground and most of us still wish we could. Let’s not get carried away.

Making money off it is great if that is what people want. Just have to be careful to do it in a way that doesn’t start weakening the popularity of the sports themselves from which the money comes. People don't really watch or spend money on full fledged minor league professional leagues.

You blame the athletes for cashing in on NIL and hurting non-revenue sports
Please provide the quote or link.

Where have I even stated that athletes shouldn’t receive NIL.

Again, please post the link.

Your desire to limit the football player’s NIL earnings blames them for the possible elimination of non-revenue sports.

Look, I think the state we are in now stinks…..and it is not like the players being recruited and their “agents” are paragons of virtue. However, to listen to the coaches/adminstatrors that position themselves on the moral high ground and deign to look down on the unwashed masses and inform them of how things should be done is laughable and disgusting.

The first step is to NOT involve the one man whose cheating prompted all the BS to happen.

Asking Nick to fix football is like asking Joe Biden to fix the border.

No, they aren't. They get paid in school/room/board

Do you really expect the people who are putting their actual asses on the line to do it for pennies, just because “that’s the way it’s always been and why college football is so unique and great?”

That's called "entitlement" and it's what's ruined our country. What's the incentive for an 18 yo kid to improve if he gets a million the day he steps on a college campus? The coach tries to discipline him to do more to improve and the kid transfers out to the next team willing to pay him another million just "cause". I think you are the delusional one if you think that is sustainable.

Saban and Bama fans are models of entitlement.

If Saban is trying to fix CFB then I support him.

Simple as that. Keep it simple, stupid.

That's always the mantra of a loser. I can't beat him square so he has to be "cheating". We know it's hard for you to admit. My thing is, with all of the 'cheating" Saban has done over the years, as you say, how come nobody has come forward to say otherwise? Other than the "fans" of those teams that consistently LOST to him. It just makes people like you look like bigger idiots than you already are.

Once again, please provide a link where I ever stated that I wanted to limit players’ NIL earnings.

You can’t because I never did.

Schools currently have collectives that are used to get into bidding wars over players. Recruits are asking (demanding in some cases) to be paid JUST TO VISIT a campus.

That is absurd. I can’t help anyone that is unable to comprehend that that environment is not sustainable.

NIL is supposed to be a contract only between a player and whoever wants their name, imagine and/or likeness. The schools are not to be involved at all. But, we all know that that is not how it is being used because there is no kind of enforcement agency to ensure it is used as intended.

But, because too many people here don’t want any kind of governance over the situation (“We just cant go back to the old ways boomer…blah, blah, blah) the future of college sports even remotely existing in a recognizable way is pretty much nonexistent.

So it doesn’t exist in the ways that it used to. Nothing on this earth is eternal. Caca changes. Life goes on.

So, changes must include completely changing the fundamentals of college athletics?

I’m assuming then that you are also one of those that want to fundamentally change one of the most successful, prosperous countries that has existed for almost 250 years.

If so, you suck.

I now realize that I am conversing back and forth with a hypocritical moron. Thanks for the heads up. Now, I know to no longer engage with a hypocrite.
