I understand that as an Auburn fan you feel it incumbent upon you to troll Alabama, but this is a really lackluster attempt. Please try harder next time. Your football team is doing nothing to fan the flames of the rivalry, so you need to be doing everything you can to pick up their slack.

Bama’s defensive demise is way overstated. Here are some scores before Bama really called off all the dogs:
Alabama 34-0 over Louisville
Alabama 40-0 over Arkansas St
Alabama 49-7 over Ole Miss
Alabama 45-16 over A&M
Alabama 56-0 over LaLa
Alabama 48-17 over Arkansas
No one really cares about garbage time touchdowns when the games are over at either halftime or late 3Q.

Alabama leads the nation in scoring drives that last 60 seconds or less. When an offense scores quickly it puts the defense back on the field sooner. Combine that with the fact that this is a very youthful and inexperienced defense and you get a unit that gives up more points and yards than usual.

Honestly, I'm of the opinion that Bama's defense looks worse statistically this year mostly because they're offense scores so fast now that the other team gets a lot more touches than what they used to when Bama would just burn down the clock.

Considering Alabama is scoring 41 points in the first half, I think 25th ranked defense is pretty damn good.
