Hard to deal with early signing day when you lose half a dozen coaches a year

The timing of this early signing period is kind of unfair to the playoff teams.

it’s funny that everything he does is proof of his god like genius to Bama fans.

Well he hasn't lost to an unranked opponent in a decade and has won 5 national titles in the last 9 seasons. Yeah what he's doing is pretty frickin genius.

Not the point. No one can argue how good a coach he is. As noted above, bama fans think he invented another form of the wheel when what he is saying is he screwed up last yr and corrected his mistake this yr.

This is one of those feel good stories that really tugs on the ol tear ducts.

The Tide was down. But now she's back.

It reminds me of the 2013-2014 slump where we had no national titles. That was rough to, just like last year's recruiting fiasco. I don't want to ever go through that again.

last years class had nothing to do with the early signing period but was simply standard deviation

It had a lot to do with it. Saban vastly underestimated how many would sign early. He’s admitted that several times. Once coaching changes happened after the ESD last December, it became difficult to recover by the February NSD. It was just a much smaller pool of guys to go after.

On the flip side, you have to credit coaches like Smart that attacked the ESD and were ready for it.
