Season ticket holder since The Tide Pride program began..
I dont need Sir Nick to tell me about Alabama Tradition.
Stop scheduling the local Jr Highschool squad and people will come and be excited.
Saturdays game was first come first serve.. people were trying to give tickets away.. NOBODY WANTED THEM.

Isn't Alabama the other test school for metal detectors this year? Given what a nightmare going through the metal detectors at Miss. State last weekend, I can only imagine it's worse at Bama.
I can't imagine them helping with everyone's declining attendence.

Do other student organizations get blocks of seats? Then why should the frats?
Yes they do. However, the size of their allotment and the number of them in their sections is far smaller than that of the Greeks.
UA BOT members are usually former Greeks, and need to be pushed to change the status quo.

You can tell this is true just by the sense of entitlement that the fans here exhibit.

Good stuff
They're arguably the most entitled fanbase in all of CFB besides maybe Notre Dame fans.

"Look, our players work too hard and they deserve to have everything and people supporting them in every way and have tremendous spirit for what they've done," Saban said. "And they might not be able to continue to do it and we're going to work hard to continue that but there's a part of it that other people need to support them too. And there has to be a sprit that makes it special to play here because that's what makes it special to be here. And it that's not here, does it continue to be special to be here or not? That's the question everybody has to ask and I'm asking it right now."
Saban is getting too old. Pure gibberish.

When you win so much, the only thing you can do to create an edge for your players is to poop on your own fan base.

Besides just the basic economics of forking over a ton of money into Tide Pride just for the privilege of forking over more money for season tickets, the problem is two-fold:
1. Home schedule sucks. No one is interested in watching Alabama clobber Louisiana Layfette at 11:00am in late September. They're also not interested in watching Alabama clobber The Citadel at 11:00am in late November while other teams around the country are playing big conference games with championship aspirations on the line.
2. Saban's been pulling Tua in the 1st or 2nd quarter of pretty much every game. Tua managed to play briefly into the 3rd quarter against A&M. Then, he pulls him, plays small ball and runs the clock out. fricking boring. It's like going to a Golden State Warriors game and finding out they're giving all their superstars the night off. Waste of time and money.
I'm all for pulling star players once the game is well in hand, but let the backups and reserves play. So what if Alabama hangs 80 on someone with the 3rd string QB dropping dimes? No one cares. Entertain the crowd. They're there, paying all that money to be there. No one wants to see 43 punts in the second half.
It'd be like a MLB game in which one team is up 15-0 in the 3rd inning, then just send batters up there to swing half-hearted three times for an intentional strike out for the rest of the game. Frick is up with that?

Alabama fraternities dont care about players names or who they are. They just want to charge more for coming to their fraternity.

There were glaring empty sections at Jordan Hare for LSU and Arkansas. Malzahn just doesn't have the guts to call them out.
He doesn't have the titles either though. You expect more of the fans when you're winning at the level Bama is winning.

Sheesh...Shut the frick up, Nick. You sound like such a bitch when you say shite like that. You make more money than God and you've rigged the game where few others can compete. So now you basically have a pro team. competing in tbe amateur ranks, and then you schedule sisters of the poor, and you bitch about nobody coming?? Get the frick outta here. Kudos to you for breaking the game, but dont bitch when you do it the way youve done it, you get what you get.

Do you think you're actually talking to Nick. He's not here? He's not a poster here.
It's pretty clear he doesn't care what anyone thinks. It's the same mantra he used with Maria Taylor, he's sticking up for his players.
Does it play well in the locker room? Definitely.
Would Saban use that as a psycholigical competitive edge for his players? Yes.
