If any other fanbase had a coach that has won like he has, they'd do the exact same.

Even Bama fans have Bama fatigue.

It’s time for a stroll in the wilderness for about a decade, I believe.

Wish he would just come out and say how much he hates the fans.

Nah, that's a once a lifetime thing and we've already paid those dues.

It's more of a cull the herd of all the kids from Chicagoland and Orange County who don't give a fvck. French Revolution Reign of Terror style.

Really? Nothing special about watching your Team with a transcendent offense, manned by all NFL caliber players, the likes of which we have probably never seen in Tuscaloosa? This doesn't excite us anymore?
I don't care who we play it fills me pride just to watch these outstanding athletes perform for my school.

He said the tickets should be given to people who would go.

I've said this before: if they just want people in the seats, instead of making me buy tickets to La-Lafayette or Citadel, they can have a program where season ticket holders who want to can let the university take those seats and give them away to lower income individuals who otherwise couldn't afford to take their family to a game.

Can't really blame them. The excitement of winning every game has ran its course and fans just expect it now. They know Bama will win, so no drama/close games to grab their attention.

Saban just isn't happy unless he isn't happy. And that's a trait that has helped make him the most succesful coach in history.

I’m game for Greeks to lose seating each and every year until they figure out the optimal seating for attendance.

Merit system. You don’t come. You don’t get a ticket.

Also it doesn’t help that Bama plays a laughable schedule this year.

Fraternities have blocked of seating in the end zone that is specifically for them until 15/20 minutes before the game. Been a point of debate for forever.

Thanks. I definitely get why there’s a debate. Of course, my feelings about the whole Greek thingy is less than supportive.

Back in the day, there were no seats reserved for fraternities, especially at Legion Field, so they sent the freshmen pledges early to save rows of seats for the fraternity. That created hostility with non-frat students who would try to sit in those seats. Imagine a freshman dweeb in a blazer and tie at each end of a row trying to tell other students they couldn't sit on that row. That's what you had.

Want butts in the stands? Bring in top opponents. How many Citadel type teams before everyone just stays home?

Ball is in your court Nick.

Do other student organizations get blocks of seats? Then why should the frats?

Yes, well they did at least. Law, Mallet, Sports, etc.

The block seating thing is fine to debate. Saturday was not a block seating problem. Nobody was in the student section.

Also, once kickoff happens every seat is free. Nobody filled in behind the end zone because nobody was there.

As usual Saban is right.

College football attendance in general is ont he decline but it's particularly bad at Alabmaa becuase the fan base is so spoiled and lethargic, especially the students.

If you're an 18-21 year old kid pretty much the entirety of your "aware" life Alabama has been the #1 team in the country and won just about every game and the national championship about every other year.

They don't appreciate what's happening as much and don't understand how abnormal the situation is.

Alabama is at least doing something about it. They're reducing seating capacity with the renovations, mostly from the student section.

Yeah, I keep hearing that, but the top half of many of the SS sections are listed as visiting team seating.

Sounds like Bama needs to lose a few games for the overall good of the program.
