People, it's one thing to be a fanatic on all things sports, after all, that's where the word comes from...

But please remember, rumors are NOT facts just like Stupid is NOT like smart...

Spreading rumors, passing them along as fact and all that crap makes YOU look stupid. And we can all deal with that, but what DOES hurt is the damage it does to families and reputations.

There are lots of casual folks out there that hear rumors and never know they're not true and then have a tainted idea of a person.

You can say that coaches get the big $$$ and deserve what they get. No they don't... Not when it comes to rumors and outright lies...

The same can be said of players, sportscasters and anyone...

I'm glad this board won't let unsubstantiated rumors fly as fact or even be fodder for discussion.

These are people with feelings, families and friends. They deserve better.

Larry, how would you like to be in my new movie? I made an Arkansas one yesterday, and I'm making one for each team. I want you to star in the Alabama one.

Just so everyone knows, Larry was at one time the director of the REC, per his Bleacher Report profile. But yeah...the REC is definitely engaged in a bunch of shadowy maneuvering behind the scenes to control SEC football.
