I especially value Auburn fans’ input in this thread. If there is one thing they are familiar with lately it is piss poor quarterback play.

I am shocked everyone is making a big deal about this game. After Texas beat Alabama, everyone said it was meaningless because this is the worst Bama team in a generation. This should be a cakewalk for aggie. No Excuses.

Why the comparison between UTex and A&M?
The horns were a highly ranked team; the Ags aren’t even Top 25.
You’re drawing a false equivalency.

Texas played Bama, aggie is playing them this week.

The SEC Rant reached a consensus that this Bama team is an abortion, so it should be easy for even an unranked team to beat them at home. Now, with Milroe injured, aggie is on easy street.

Teams can get better or worse through a season…. Just so happens both bama and A&M are improving which is why this game is big

You’re taking the shite talk that goes on around here—amongst dorky kids—far too seriously.

That said ….

I haven’t seen a consensus that this Alabama team is an “abortion.”

Which other unranked teams do you think could easily beat Bama?

I don’t believe the Milroe injury has been confirmed.
But assuming it’s true, teams lose starters every week.
Recruiting such that you have a solid backup is just part of the game.

The last thing A&M wants is to face a QB who can throw the ball. Milroe just isn't a serviceable passer.

Milroe has a 177 passer rating and is averaging 10.5 yards per attempt while completing just under 70 percent of his attempts.

For starters the Milroe injury isn’t accurate.

To your point you are not wrong this is definitely a lower tier team than we are used to having. If and this is a big if, the offense can iron out a few things we could win the west and see what happens from there. The game against Texas was hilariously bad and it’s hard to pick where to start, y’all are much more polished than we are. Simply put.

This Saturday the reality of Jalen Milroe will sober you.

We heard the same thing about those guys too and look how that worked out! I remember how Phillip Sims was supposed to the the best QB in the nation and AJ beat his socks off and won 2 Natties for us.

Saban handed Simpson the keys to the car and he went 5-9 for 73 yards against mighty USF. I'd tap the brakes a bit.

Clear you didn't watch that game. Simpson had pressure in his face immediately on every snap. Probably the worst OLine performance since the '21 Iron Bowl.

If only A&M had a DLine as good as USF.

How accurate is he throwing from his back btw? If it is Simpson the A&M DL is going to light him up. I mean if you think rolling out a Freshman QB who has barely played against that DL in that environment is a good idea then I'm in.

Scroll up, I've answered that.

And I'll take Ty Simpson over Max Johnson any day. Holy shite.

Look, I don’t buy this injury shite. Milroe's gonna start and because of this and this alone, A&M wins this game but if there's something to this injury rumor and he doesn't play. A&M loses by at least a touchdown.

Uh, ok. Johnson has better stats and experience in every conceivable way over Simpson but you be you. Simpson has talent but he hasn't shown anything at the college level yet.

I heard A&M's starter might be out, too. Can anyone confirm?

Makes no difference. The only injuries that matter are Alabama's. Just ask them.

There is absolutely no real basis for thinking that Simpson is better than Johnson.

Simpson couldn't beat out Tyler Buchner for 2nd string.
