Oh man, I didn’t know that was all you wanted was a little bit of appreciation
Yes, you destroyed the big 12
But also, yes, Texas A&M would not have pulled the trigger and gone to the SEC. Had you not been doing stupid upon stupid things to destroy the big 12?
So thank you
Yes, you came crawling to the SEC following us years later
However , I’m glad it all went down the way it did because otherwise without your shenanigans and corruption, we would all still be in the big 12, and that would suck

Nobody would have left with equal revenue sharing and a conference network. Texas didn't try leaving until well after it all went to crap after nebraska left.

The irony of that gif when you reference yourself, referencing an article that claimed in 2030 "sources" think the big revenue teams will ask for more TV money than the small revenue teams.
That really was some hard hitting journalism!

Aggies tend to forget this. Texas is far from blameless but the first domino was Nebraska taking its ball and going home.

That’s not true at all
Nebraska left because they found out that Utrans was trying to leave to go to the Pac 12
Colorado did the same
Anyone that had options started looking for them once the burnt orange idiots started telling everybody they were going to California and taking us and Oklahoma with them

Actually the Missouri governor was the first one to publicly talk about leaving so maybe don't throw rocks from your glass house

The governor isn't part of the system. he had no vote.
I can throw whatever rocks I want. Mizzou voted to save the big12 EVERY time. We are the only school gone that can say that.

Go back and research the timeline again. the pac12 dance with texas was not at the beginning. hell, it was more than a year later.

Missouri was never the bad guy
Is that all you need to hear?
But don’t pretend the big 12 was going to stay together once Utrans told everybody they were gonna go to the Pac 12
It wasn’t gonna happen

I’m not a journalist.
And you’re still retarded.

I remember seeing an interview a few years back between Del Conte and Chip Brown I think. It was after the announcement but before UTrans and chokelahoma actually joined the SEC. They brought up the fact that all the TV money was currently split evenly between the schools. Del Conte said that he felt that sometime in the future that the shares would probably change due to pressure being put on the league by the networks and kinda left it at that. It did not make sense to me. The only way that could happen would be if the contracts were written differently. The contracts are between the league and the networks. However, I would not put it past Snakey to frick it up somehow.
If somebody wants to sift through all of the Chip Brown/ Del Conte interviews on Youtube, I am sure you could probably find it. I don't have the time for that.

The SEC didn't need them anyway

Schools were looking and left because the big12 tv contract was bad and the networks expressed no interest in fixing it. Huge pay raises if you left.
It wasn’t until teams left and the pac10 became a real possibility for Texas/OU that networks panicked and came up with something to temporarily appease them.
No reason to blame anyone for looking or leaving. The disparity in revenue with other conferences wasn’t sustainable.

the SEC isn't the Big 12. The other SEC schools would never allow what y'all allowed to happen in the Big 12

No. All anyone needs to hear is a&m fans shut the frick up and stop bitching about a school you voted with every time. Your little brother complex is the most disturbing thing in college football. combine that with your lack of self-awareness and you make it damn hard not to root for texas when you two play. That is probably the most infuriating part of it all. Somehow you guys make texas the lesser of two evils at times. You should be embarrassed.

Because schools kept voting against a conference network. It wasn't going to be great off the bat but everyone knew it was the only long term option for the conference.

I know, and I agree, it was a tongue and cheek comment
And obviously this is simply a troll thread, what amazes me is how successful it is, considering this exact thread has been done many many times already
Texas is still the same group of entitled idiots
But Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas A&M all know how lucky we are to be part of this great conference
